another day another dollar

Well I have to work tonight and I am not looking foward to that, but it is money for Christmas.

Speaking of Christmas.... Does anyone want to swap Christmas cards? If so please leave e mail me all of your info and I will do the same back. My Christmas card list is usually short. to be exact it has a total of 7 people on it. 3 for family and 4 for friends.

Last year I did something differt. I went to this web page where military can go and sighn up to get mail and letters from people back here in the states. So I sent out a lot of cards to our troops. I am going to do the same this year. Last year we actually got some letters back.

I found the rest of the material for Ambers guilt so I will finish that up next week. I need to start making a list of things that I want to buy and start checking them off the list as I find the items.

I got the rest of the stuff to paint pumpkins, and all the stuff for the cookout. I am so happy that Rusty will be spending some time with his friends. After all where we be without good friend?

Rusty put the bench back together today, so I need to get off my ass and down load the software for the camera. Then once that is done sara told me how to add graphics so I am going to try that! I want a dragonfly!

Well I am going to have to leave in a few minutes so I better get going.

Today I am thankful that Rusty put the bench back together.

I have an awesome husband

Today Rusty has just done one nice thing after another for me.

First he called ma and asked me what I was doing. I was like well I am helping Ryan with school work and cleaning up the kitchen. He say's great all of that can wait, why dont you guys meet me for lunch!

Then he said you know what I will go get Nikki. Cool! less driving I have to do.

Then he comes home with this shelving unit that I have been wanting.

So we are at the store today and I bought 6 little pumpkins and Ryan says to me wow mom we must be rich! I never would have guessed that pumpkins made us rich.

I bought all of those pumpkins because some of our friends are coming over this weekend and I thought the children would get a kick out of painting pumpkins! I am also going to make dirt cups. That is pudding on the bottome, crushed grahm crackers on the top of that and then some candy that looks like rocks on top of that! I even got some gummy worms to put in the dirt. I know they will be a big hit with all of the children.

I feel so bad right now. My ears are backed up and my nose is stuffed! I took some medicine and it should knock me out soon. At least I will feel better in the morning.

I am off to take a nice warm bath and go to bed.

I am thankful for a husband who thinks of me.

O.K. I am at my witts end with everyone who has a cool web page. I cannot figure it out. I went to add a picture to all about me but what do i put after http://? how do I make things flash and import graphics? I am so not good with computers so I am getting very angry and I just want to throw this darn thing!

O.K. enough venting. I am off to watch t.v.

I am thankful for the time I have with my husband.

got a lot done

well lets see. I got the bench painted today. So now all we have to do is put the top coat on it and put it back together.

I also got a lot of the house cleaned up and I even got down all of the fall decorations. It sure is starting to feel like fall around. During the day it has only been in the 80's and in the 50's at night.

Rusty fixed the water heater so there is no more drip! I so happy that I will not de hauling water out of garage anymore.

So I was watching HGTV and they were updating a bathroom that looks a lot like the one that I want to redo. They even had the same lighting that I want to get rid of. Well took a lamp shade and cut it in half and the placed it over the light. So I am thinking that I can do the same thing and have great lighting for very cheap. I am really trying to keep the bathroom under $1,000. I think I can do this!

Wednesday is going to be a very busy day. Rusty just bought us a new shelving unit, so we will be putting that together and getting more of the garage in order. We will also ned to get the bench put together. Then we need to get up in the rafters and drage a bunch of stuff down so that it can go to the dump. Mt friends think I am crazy because I clean by throwing everything away.

Well the amazing race will be on in a little bit, so I am going to go clean up the kitchen and get ready to settle down for the night.

feeling good

Last night I felt so sick so I did nothing all night. Today I feel great and I am up and moving. I already have dinner done to today. And wednesdays dinner is started!

We are just going to fix the water heater instead of buying a new one. So It looks like I will be learning how to do that. Thats cool with me because I like learning new things.

Over the weekend our friend noticed that in some of our family pictures I look old and unhappy. Those pictures would be the ones taken when I was visiting my family back east! I think I need to take those pictures down and only leave up the happy ones!

Amber is going to perform at fridays football game. She so so exceited about het first performance. I hope that she goes out there and kicks ass.

Well I need to get moving and get the rest of this house cleaned up.

another leak?

I put a fan on the carpet in the garage to dry it out from when the water heater leaked, but I think we have another leak. The carpet was dry last night and now it is soaked again! I am hoping that a mouse did not eat through the water line. If so the I know sone cats that will not be getting their dinner until a mouse body is found.

We are still looking at the prices of those tankless water heaters and I think we are going to bite the cost and by one. They are more expensive, but we know that they will save us money.

I am so thankful for Rusty. Since he has been home he has been a really big help to me. Every morning he gets up with the girls, and does a lot of little things around here. He is even going to take Amber shopping for a new pair of jeans and some jazz paints. Rusty has taken a big burden off of me!

Rusty got another e mail from his brother today and he is not sure if he is going to respond. Rusty is still upset and hurt at all the things that Andy has done. However just to piss him and his wife off he is going to buy a lot of marine stuff and send it over. I am staying out of it.

This weekend we are going to cook out. So many of our friends have been wanting to come over, but they did not want to "bother" us. Well Rusty is about 90% back so I have calld everyone and told them to show up. We are going to burn some meat, sit around and talk and maybe bring out the fire pit.

I ned to get busy and get the house cleaned up and I must go move the car so Rusty can park in the drive way.

I am thankful for a husband who loves me.

 

I am back from the Queen mary!

I feel awesome! I really needed this weekend. I am recharged and ready to go.

The Queen Mary was awesome. I fell in love with the ship the second I saw it. When you walk onto this ship you are taken back to another time and place when life was so much more simple. Our room was so nice! It had the orignal "closets" and side table. The bath room had four water selections on the tub! Hot salt water, cold salt water, hot fresh water and cold fresh water. I was so looking looking foward to a hot salt water bath, But the only actual water on the ship is now fresh water. Thats o.k.

We walked through a lot of the ship and saw some of its many uses. I had no idea that it was used to move troops during wwII! If anyone ever gets the chance to tour the ship I would suggest that you do. There is also a Russian sub next to the Queen mary, but we did not tour it. Maybe next trip.

I am glad to be at home. There is always something nice about coming home. I did miss all of our critters, and yes I even missed the children.
