cant sleep!

Well everyone is in bed but me. For some reason I can't sleep. So hear I sit with some hot Chai tea.

I went to home depot today and I actually found a sink that I wanted for the bathroom, but after waiting for 45 for someone to help me I just left.

I hit this one awesome thrift store and I got Amber some new jeans and I got a new top. I also scored 2 new pyrex mugs.

Then I went to Lowes and found yet another sink. This time the people were so nice. I got the sink and all of the hardware for $170 dollars! Three cheers go up there. Then I also found the lighting that I wanted, and to top it off they were on sale! I do need to go find the globes for the light, but I can get those any place.

Well I am off to have a smoke and to enjoy my tea.

I am so thankful that I waited for what I wanted and not only did I find it, but I found it on sale!

a light bulb moment

O.K. my budget for the re do on the childrens bathroom is $1,000. I have been trying to figure out how in the world I can cut some corners and still have it look AWESOME. Then the light bulb went on while I was cleaning the bathroom.

In stead of laying tile down I can just paint the cement. I saw this idea in the organic living magazine, but these people had all of the cement. It is suppose to help cut down on the allergys and I am now thinking that this would be an awesome for the children bathroom. I wont have to worry if they chip a tile or worry about regrouting when the grout gets old.

Heck I have said for a long time that when we build our dream house I wanted it to be earth friendly, so why not start with this house?

I am off to help Ryan with his school work.

things that need to be done

I was talking with Rusty last night and I told him that I am getting sick of waiting on other people. We have been waiting to borrow a tiller for almost 4 months now! So now I am on the hunt for a cheap on. I would rather buy one then, keep waiting on someone else!

I really want to get our back yard done. Our back yard is so bad that our dog wont even go back there!

I asked amber why she did not go tutoring yesterday and she said that they did not have it. So we got some problems off her math disc. It is no wonder that she is failing math, she does not know the basics! Amber is in algebra but she could not tell me what the ( ) meant. So it looks like we are going to have to go talk to her math teacher. I told Rusty last night that I understand that Amber is not good at math and she does not even want ot go to college, so why is she in Algebra? We are going to try to get her into a consumer math class where they teach her how to balance a check book, and figure intrest. Where they will teach her real life math. I just dont know anymore, it seems that we have tried everything.

I was asked how I get my children to clean. That is a good question. When they were little I would sprinkel carpet fresh on the carpet and ask them to run the sweeper over it, so now they know how to do it with out the carpet fresh. I have learned a few other tricks. I dont give them a lot to do all at once. heres an example. Yesterday I asked Amber to run the sweeper, Nikki to get all of the towels and dirty clothes out of the bathroom, and Ryan had to take out the trash. Boom three things done, but only one thing per child. I hope that helps! LOL :0)

Well I better get dressed and get busy. after all there is still more cleaning that needs to be done!

I am thankful for the time I have with my children, even if they drive me up a wall!

up and moving

Work went good last night and when I got home the house was clean! There are times when I really love my family.

Right now I am helping Ryan with his school work and then we have to do some more cleaning out today! We are going to get up in rafters and start pulling all of that stuff down and going through it. We are going to the dump on Tuesday so I want to get as much out as we can.

We have been looking at some solar powered stuff. I found this really cool little solar powered charger for things like cell phones, cameras, game boys.. Anyway we are really trying to go green. If we ever build a house it will be covered in solar pannels. I know we are getting ripped off by the energy company.

Well I am off to get dressed and start my day. 

i am thankful for a nice cool day so that I can get some get some cleaning out done!

our house is trashed!!!!

Our cook out was a big hit and now the house is trashed! Oh well, it will cleaned.

The children had a blast horse back riding! I rode will all of the children and then I waled the horse around for a while. The horse was getting really angery because the the horses were eating and he was working.

Then we painted the pumpkins. I am not sure if there was more paint on the pumpkin's or on the blanket they were sitting on. but the important thing is, is that they children had fun.

So I got up this moring, and I could not see the kitchen counter, the front yard still has the blanket on the grass and garage smells like smoke, because of the fire pit. oh well.... I cleaned up some of the kitchen, and brought the blanket in, and the rest will wait until some other day.

I have to go to work, so I am really not in the mood to clean right now.

I am off to finish getting ready for work.

I am going sky diving!

A few weeks ago I called to talk to my dad, but he was not there so I asked my mom to ask my dad if I could wear his jump suit when I went skydiving. I thought my mom was going to blow her. She hates sky diving, because one time my dads shoot did not open, but his spare shoot did. So she thinks that sky diving is not something I should be doing.

Well last night a friend called me and asked if I would want to go sky diving in 3 weeks! So I called my dad and asked him if I could wear his suit. He said that he would put it in the mail next week!!!!!!!!

So not only do I get to go sky diving, but I also get to wear my dads old jump suit! That is to cool!

for years I have sat by and watched people do the things that I want to do, not any more. The children are older now and Rusty's heartattack have made me wake and smell the coffee. It is good to chase your dreams and to use a really big net while you are doing it!

Well I am off to finish cleaning.

I am thankful that I will have something from my father with me when I do my first jump. We both have a love for thrill seeking and now that he cant do it anymore, I am glad that I can do it for him.

what I need to do

Well, I am up but not moving. I have so much to do before everyone shows up.

Lets see, I need to clean the house only to have a lot of people trash it. That is o.k. with me, because I love having friends over!

I need to put away laundry, but all of my drawers and even the closet are packed. So I am guessing that I need to get rid of some stuff, but that will have to wait for another day.

I am going to get a fire pit that I found on craigs list. I always borrow someone elses, but this fire pit is new and he is selling it cheap so I am going to get off my cheap ass and buy one of our own.

Rusty did e mail his brother yesterday. I asked him if he was going to warn his brother about the heart attack. Since his dad died at 57 and Rusty had his at 37, and the doctors said that we should tell his brother..... Well Rusty said no he is not going to say anything to him, because his brother never listens to him anyway. I am not touching this with a ten foot pole!

When I asked about the Christmas card exchange, I just want to mail a card to people who not on my list. Not that my list is long or anything. I just thought it would be something different to do.

Well I guess the house is not getting cleaned with me sitting here, so I better get busy.
