o.k. day

I actually got up early and did some running around. I had to go get some more ear candles. Man I can believe how much crap is still in Rusty's ear. On a good note Rusty can now ear out that ear. Then Amber said that her ear hurt so I did an ear candle on her ear. That ear was also full of wax! Those ear candles really work!

We said our good bys to Elle today. I am so going to miss her. I loaded her up with some snacks and energy drinks. Then Rusty check all of the fluids on the car. Then it was time to say our parting words. That sucked!

Yesterday I got a package from my mom. It had the jump suit in it! So we are going sky diving the first week end in december. That is going to be so much fun.

We also got a letter from the ex. I read the letters and then gave them to the girls. They read them and walked away. I am not sure if they are going to write back or not. I do think that I am going to have another court battle on my hands. I think that he is going to try to take me back to court to get visit's. So I am going to hit him where it hurts..... the pocket book. he is ordered to carry medical ins., but does not and I have let that go, but not anymore. I asked for it before and then he ended up not working because he could not afford child support and paying for ins. So I am going to give him a little less money to take me to court with. Am I being a bitch? Oh thats right I dont care!

We finally got our dsl hooked up and I am so happy about that! Man the internet is so much faster!

Our friend is going to keep the children so that we can go to San Jose for another friends wedding! I am so looking foward to that. While we are up there we are going to go see the Winchester house. I have been wanting to see it for a while and since we are going to be in San Jose anyway..... I am off to chill out for a while. Actualy I have to stay up so that I can switch the girls laundry around. Why these girls cannot do laundry at a normal hour is beyond me.

I am thankful that Elle came into our life and has left nothing but good foot prints on our hearts.

what a day!

There is a rule in our house. If you are asked to clean your room and you do not do it then I get to clean your room the next day. When I clean I  use trash bags. Nikki was asked to clean her room, but she did not, so today while she was at school I did the cleaning for her. Nikki is very up set, but oh well at least we can see the floor of her room now. Heck we even went and bought her a new dresser and she is now really mad because her dresser will hold all of her clothes. LOL A rule is a rule.

The children are having a blast tonight. I took Ryan out trick or treating, and the girls went down the steet to help our friends out with the haunted house. Nikki got to stand in the coffin and she was dressed as a dead bride. Amber hid in a corner dressed all in black and jumped out at little kids. So then Nikki left there and went trick or treating with some friends so I stood in the coffin as a dead marine.

The girls wanted to go t.p.ing tonight so I think that I am going to let them.

Elle gave me some cami's and boots, so I came out of the bathroom dressed as a marine and Rusty about died laughing! Then Rusty fixed up the uniform and gave me some of his dads rank for the collar. I thought that I looked good. I must say that I was fine until I put the boots on. Those things are heavy! I am going to have leg muscles just from walking

So today a card comes in the mail. It is from Tammy.... the ex's new wife. She just wanted to let me that he is fine and that they sent the girls a package with some pens and paper in it so that they can write. Kissing up to me gets you ......NOTHING. I did the right thing and I was nice to her on the phone, but come on? What am I suppose to just forgive and forget and sit and have tea with this lady?

well I am off to do nothing. LOL

my weekend

Well I had a great weekend! lets see on Saturday I tried really hard to clean the gouse, but I swear everytime I got one room done someone was right behind me messing it up. Then Rusty asked me to go over to a friend house and see if we could borrow thier tiller. O.k. I can do that.

Then Elle walked in, so I asked her to ride a long with me. On the way to borrow the tiller we saw that a church was having a rummage sale and everything was free!!! Now I can afford that! So we both went in there and just cleaned up on clothing and some other odds and ends. people must think that I have money because I am alway wearing different clothes, but the truth is I just find clothes so cheap that I dont really have to wear the same thing twice! LOL

Well we did not get the tiller, but we did stop at walmart and I bought myself a new sewing machine. Man it is nice to have a machine that does not bounce off the table when you try to sew on it!

I got to spend the day with Elle and that made me so happy, Elle leaves in four days and she will heading back to Alaska. What a bummer.

I met Elle Thanksgiving day of 2002. Elle was fresh out of boot camp and school. Elle was so.... not like me! LOL We hit it off and over the years we have become great friends. I still remember we she told me that she would be turning 19 in Iraq. Then the following year she told me that she would be turning 20 in Iraq. I am glad that she was here to 21! We have spent countless hours talking, laughing, and sometimes even crying. I am really going to miss my friend.

Our friend Jason and his girlfriend Jasinda came up to say good bye to Elle. Jason and Rusty have been friends  I think forever. I could not have asked for a better man to have Rusty'd back in combat. So while jason lived with us I got to know him very well. Then when he came home and brought Jasinda I was blown away. She was everything that he was looking for. They are great together. They will be married in November and Rusty and I are thinking about going to the wedding. It was so nice to just sit and talk with friend. And friend that dont care that the house was trashed and that I had not gotten around to cleaning off the table!

This morning when I got up Kevin was at our house. It is always good to see friends. We chated for a little bit and then I asked him what was up with Amanda. ( This chick he brought over) I told him flat out that I do not like her. He told me flat out that he did not like her either because she showed her ass end while she was here. Well that she did. Then we said our good byes to Elle and we went back into the house. kevin and I were jst talking when he said that everyone we meet leaves a mark on us.... good or bad.

How true that it is. Elle has tought me to chill and to laugh, Jason has tought me to live every moment and to chase your dreams with a big net, and Kevin has tought me that sometimes it is o.k. to just be and to do nothing.  They have also tought me that our home is a safe haven where everyone is welcome and loved.

Elle is going to try to come up on monday. That will be the last time I will see her before she goes back to Alaska. I am going to go get her a bunch of snacks and drinks for to take on the drive. Rusty and Kevin think that I am being a "mom", but hey one of my children is leaving and I want her to have everything that she will need.

I must say that life is good.

One last thing before I get some sleep. I was reading an old chalk board that now hangs in Ambers room. Some how this saying has lasted. A friend is someone who walks in when the rest of the world walks out. and... A friend NEVER askes what they can do, they just do something.

I am off to get some sleep. I so thankful for the friend that come and go. Everyine of them takes a pice of my heart when they leave.

Not much time

Well, I only have a little bit of time before I head off to work. I have had a great weekend and will tell everyone about it after I come home from work.

I got a very nice e mail from a lady who was impressed that I got all of our dresses for under $20! LOL I am very cheap and I can smell a bargin a mile away. I love great deals.

dresses are done

Well I have finally found a dress that Nikki likes. So everyone now has a dress for the ball. I bought all of our dresses for under $20! I am so good at stretching that dollar.

I went and ordered Ryan a set of camies today. I am also going to look for some boots, then he can look likle daddy anytime. Rusty thinks that I should sew name tapes on, but I am thinking that I do not want to put that much work into it.

I need to get busy and start buying some more Christmas gifts. I am just at such a loss of what to buy everyone. Nikki is the really hard one. I will figure something out.

I think I am going to do nothing this weekend. I do need to get some cleaning done and we need to get the weeds in that back yard cut, but I really do not want to go anywhere. I am feeling the need to stay at home and be with my family.

I am off to run Nikki to a friends house and then Amber is off to a football game.

I am so thankful that I FINALLY found a dress for Nikki

she is out

I just got in fom work and I told my boss everything. It did not come as a shock to him because he knew that she had put speed in coffee, but she told her that was she was not doing it anymore. Anyway she is so out of there! he said that he was not willing to risk everything for someone like her.

I took a big box of clothing into work today and I let some of the ladies go through them. You would have thought that I gave them gold! LOL I am just glad that someone else can use the clothes.

I think I am going to go to bed and get some sleep.

Well yesterday I got a phone call that I did not expect. All I can really say is that a friend needs someone to lean on. I am so there for her, after all I have really big shoulders. The hard part is...... There is nothing I can do for her except just be there.

I do need to think about talking to my boss, but man! I am going to mention it to him, but he askes me not to come back then that is fine. I don't need to work with people that are strung out anyway!

I do feel so much better today. I have to do some running around today before I go to work and I should be cleaning up the house, but here I sit! LOL I have a feeling that the cleaning will be waiting for me.

I ordered a new puzzle and I am trying to work on it, but the cats like to sleep on it and then they mess up al the pieces. Sometimes I just cant catch a break!

There is not to much else going on, so I am going to go. I will talk to everyone in the morning, or if I loose my job maybe a little sooner!
