I want my husband

Nikki is out with her friends, Amber is at work and Ryan is watching t.v. Rusty just called to say that he is going to go have a beer with the guys from work.

I do not mind that, I just want Rusty to come home. He has been so busy this week and I have been running the children all week. We have been like two ships passing in the night.

I want to sit on the bed and talk to Rusty and tell him about my day. Then I want to hear all about his day. I want to laugh and problem solve with him. I want to put my head on his chest on watch t.v.

Do I sound crazy? I just want to be with my husband. But he is not home, so I will go make another pot of tea and go back to working on the puzzle.

feeling a little better

 I am so happy that we got some much need rain! It is so dry where we live! The girls and I hiked out to falls last spring and I we were shocked that there was no water in the falls. I am hoping that this year there will be some water there.

Anyway, I told my family that they sucked big time. I had bought myself some Jello and orange juice and they sucked it all down! What the heck? I bought it to help me feel better! LOL

Today I get the great pleasure of going to the dump and dumping wet carpeting! Now doesn't that sound like so much fun!? I am going to do some cleaning out in the garage before I go to the dump. I figure if I am going to go then I might as well take everything that I can.

I have do not really have anything else that I have to do today, so I may spend the rest of the day just chillin.

On Monday I am going to work with Rusty. He needs some help delivering some stuff, so I will be driving a friends truck down there, and helping Rusty make all of his deliveries. I have never actually worked with Rusty so this should be interesting. We generally work well together so I am expecting everything to be fine.

I was asked yesterday who Kevin was. He is just a marine that has called our home his second home. We see so many young people come through our home. Some marine will ask another marine to come up and then that marine ends up staying!

We take in service men and women like some people take in puppy's! We give them a hot meal, I do their laundry, we let them know that they are loved and welcome here anytime.

Thank you Beth for reminding everyone to pray for these men and women. It does not matter how we feel about the war, these are people just doing a job. And for that I am thankful.

I am going to go get into a nice hot bath and start my day!

So last night it hit me. I just started feeling sick to my stomach. I am now living on bread and gatorade. I just wish it would settle down.

The doctor put Amber on a low dose of birth control to see if that would help to regulate her cycle. Well they also felt the need to give her condoms!

So we are going to find three jars and write small, medium, and large on them and fill them with condoms! This way when all of our friend come home from Iraq they will have plenty of protection!

So I guess I am not going to be doing to much today. I just feel like ick.

Yesterday was phone call day. I swear everyone we know called! LOL I am not complaining.

Elle just got back to Alaska and she got the Christmas gifts that we sent her. She was so happy. Elle said that it is snowing like crazy in Alaska.

Kevin called from Iraq and said that he can not find a roster with his name on it. Without his name on a roster that means that he will not be coming home. So Rusty and I are going to look into, and see if he is on a roster and maybe he just did not see it. Kevin has been in Iraq for a year and is so ready to come home.

Our friends Ray and Sonja called to tell us that they will be leaving on Monday to go back to Iowa. Sonja got orders, so they have to go. Sonja will be taking the triplets and Ray has to stay here until he retires.

I think we are going to cook out on Saturday so that I can see the children one more time before they leave.

Sam Ambers boyfriend?!

Sam came over to see Amber yesterday and I put him to work pulling carpet. He seems like a nice kid. Then he went home

I had to go pick up Geo from wrestling practice and Nikki was telling him about Ambers new guy. Geo said that he does not like Sam and that he hopes that Rusty hates him! Geo wants to be the only boyfriend that Rusty likes.

I go to pick Amber up from work and I told her what Geo said. So Amber goes running into the house and bitch slaps Geo on the back of his head! LOL She said this for saying that Rusty will like you more.

Then Sam calls and asks Amber to go to the movies. Rusty about lost it, and told Amber that the little scum bag needed to come meet Rusty.

 Nikki, Geo and I are standing at the breakfast bar and rusty is cooking when Sam shows up. Sam takes his hat off and just looks at Rusty. Once Rusty started speaking all of us scattered! Sam was so on his own.

Sam made a few mistakes. One he never looked Rusty in the eye and he never offered to shake Rusty's hand. BIG mistake! So Rusty read him the riot act and made it very clear that he better never honk his horn to pick Amber up and that he better walk her to the door every night. Rusty said that if he honked his horn he better be delivering a pizza.

Sam and Amber got to go the movies. However Rusty did call her during the movie to see if they were watching the movie or to interrupt them if they were not watching movie.

Amber has had her cycle for a few months now. At first I was not concerned, but now I am taking her to the doctors.  So i guess we see what the doctor has to say.

I have to go get dinner started and then I must get laundry done. I am sure that the girls will have me doing something else today.

 

the carpet is gone

Well the carpet is out! I do still have some carpet left in the bedrooms, that is it! I could not believe how bad the carpet stunk and how gross it was! never again.

The house smells so much  cleaner now. I even got down some of my late mother in laws rugs from the middle east.

As for the rest of the stuff that I should have done today.... well I did a few loads of laundry, and everyone is one their own for dinner. I am to tired to cook.

Amber had boy stop by today and they hung out for a while. He seems nice but I have only known him for a few hours. this boy even helped to put carpet!

When this boy called last night I must have asked him 20 questions. Then I reminded him that Rusty does not like boys and that he better not break her heart. I also informed him that Rusty is a former marines and for a living he now runs arms and ammunition for a living. I think that scared the boy.

I would so love to make a cup of tea and settle down for the night, but I still have to take Nikki's boyfriend home and go get Amber from work. So the tea will have to wait.

what should I do?

 I have a long list of things that need to be done today. I need to do laundry, clean the living room and clean our bedroom. Then there is the standard cleaning of the kitchen. I do not want to do any of these things.

I want to rip out the carpet in the other half of the house! Our vacuum broke yesterday and I am so sick of replacing them. Our carpet is gross from where we have spilled and the animals have barfed.

Last year I ripped the carpeting out in half of the house and now we are walking on the cement. That works for me. I would rather sweep and mop then look at disgusting carpet.

Rusty said that we will get hard wood floors put in this year. Until then our carpet is just gross and I want it gone!

Amber thinks that she is a big girl now since she has a bill to pay. I just laughed and told her that paying bills is no fun.

I stole someone's idea for making meat loaf. So last night the family was thrilled that I made a good meal for them. I made meat loaf, Spanish rice, peas, spiced pears and pudding, but they did not get to eat the pudding......... I ate it all! LOL

Anyway, I need to go take a pain pill, get dressed and start ripping out the carpet. The house hold chores can wait.

busy day

Last night Rusty and I went out for diner. We went to this Mexican place and I made sure to order the blandest food on the menu. I even told the waiter that I can not have spicy food. The food tasted fine until about 30 minutes later when I was shooting fire out my ass. I do not know why but I can not handle food with any type of seasonings!

Then we drove around this new strip mall. They have a Fredericks of Hollywood. I so have to go there!

Then we went and saw the pursuit of happiness. It was a really good movie. Then we came home and went to sleep. We did not even stay up to welcome in the new year!

Today we went and spent some of our gift cards. I got a new shirt and two new pairs of shoes. I really needed everyday shoes.

Amber is very happy because we took her down to get her, her own cell phone today. Amber will have to pay this bill and if she is late on the payment then the phone becomes mine. We are trying to help her build some credit.

Dinner is starting to smell good. I made a meat loaf. I am not sure what else to make, but I will figure something out.
