why me?

Yesterday I had to take Nikki to the doctors. This should have been an easy exercise. Her appointment was at 9:45 a.m. and we did not get out of there until noon.

Nikki needed to get a refill on her inhalers. Which she only goes through two a year, so no big deal. Then Nikki hurt her foot playing softball.

When we were done with those two issues we asked about the malaria shot, where we could get it, does our insurance cover it, and can how soon before she leaves can she get it?

The doctor just looked at me. Then he said "I am sure we covered this in medical school, but I do not know."

I explained what happened to Nikki last year. For those of you who were not reading last year, Nikki got so sick from the malaria pills. I am talking e.r. sick, cdc on the phone.....Anyway we do not want a repeat of that.

I got a number that I have to call and it is to our big children's hospital, they might have the shot. If not the doctor did say that he would give us anti vomiting meds.

Last night Nikki and Amber went and worked for our property manager. They had a blast and they are going to go work for him again tonight.

Tonight the girls are going with Tim (property manager) to pick up some cars. Amber and Nikki can both drive, but Amber can drive legally. Tim told Nikki to not get caught.

Tim also hooked Amber with another job! I so wanted to do a happy dance when I heard that Amber finally got a second job! She will be answering phone and making phone calls for this guy that owns a car dealership.

Today I want to scrub down my bedroom and my living room. I need to move the furniture and vacuum. Yes Pam I will come over and help you clean! LOL

I have started sewing on my mom's fish blanket. Now I do not know who writes the directions for the pattern places but they need to write the directions in English and not Greek. So I gave up on the direction's and I was just looking at the picture and I am trying to do what the pictures are doing. Then some how I ended up with an extra piece. Does that mean that I did it right? I swear this quilt is going to be the death of me.

Oh for the record. No I did not take Ambers laundry out of he washer. No they do not make pumpkin baby food. So I have to use canned pumpkin and water it down, then suck it into this tiny little thing and try to squirt it into a moving kittens mouth.

Today we are going to go pick up Martha and she lives in Sarasota Fl. This looks like a beautiful place to live! Can I come visit? I will just sleep on the beach.

we have paws and pupils

The kittens finally got their pupils and they have found their paws! So now they are smacking each other and one is even sucking on its paw.

I swear I am going to have to smack Amber. I think she thinks she is big stuff now that she is a senior.

Yesterday I was just trying to stay awake. I scrubbed down the kitchen, got the floors mopped and did a ton of laundry. I got the kittens down for their afternoon nap and I wentand sat down and tried to grab a nap. Then Amber walked in and said "How can you be tired? What did you do all day?"

I said "Please walk over here so I can smack you."

Then this morning Amber say's "All of the laundry that is my hamper is clean but it is not my laundry. My laundry is in the washer. Do you think you could get the laundry out of my hamper?"

I can back with "Do you think you could go and fold it and put it on everyone's beds? Are your arms broken?"

Yesterday I took Ryan to get his hair cut. I so wanted to get mine cut off. I have long curly hair that I usually do not do. I usually have it up in a clip. Sometimes I straighten it and even then it ends up in a pony tail. Then I remembered that Rusty loves my hair and would like to see it get even longer. So I sucked it up and did not get it cut. I do however need a trim.

up way to early

I woke up at 3:30 this morning! What in the world are you suppose to do at 3:30 in the morning? I made the coffee, fed the cats, started the laundry and check my mail. Now what? I can't do to much other wise I will wake everyone else up!

I have two sick little kittens. Twist is so constipated that he is impacted. Great. So now he is on laxatives. This should be so much fun once those hit. He also have gunk eye and I have to put ointment on his eyes twice a day.

Nutmeg also has gung eye and something called urine scolding. Yes it is as painful as it sounds. For some reason this kittens urin is so strong that it is burning its own skin. So I have to rub it down with antibacterial cream.

I thought I must be something wrong since none of my other litters have had this problem, but it turns out that it is the formula. How in the world did I find the only two kittens that would be bothered by the only kitten decent kitten formula on the market.

So now on top of everything else I have to try to get them to drink more water and eat pumpkin baby food! I am still trying to figure out how to get down the kittens throat!LOL

I hope I do not go into sticker shock when I go to buy baby food.

In all of my spare time I have been working on this special blanket for my mom. It is in the shape of a fish. I thought "Oh this will be so cute since my mom has redone one of her in a tropical theme".

Rusty asked me last night how long I have been trying to just get the pieces cut out. I shot him the look of death. I swear my mom better like this blanket.

I have however finally got all of the pattern cut out and some of the pieces. I might actually be able to start sewing on it next week.

One of the marines called me yesterday and everyone is doing good. Two of the marines are just so cute. They wanted to know how to wash the quilts. I was like well with soap and water? I guess they are scared to send the quilts out to be washed. They think that someone might take them, so they are going to try to wash them byhand. I would love to see a picture of this.

Today we are heading off to Columbus Ohio to pick up pengboo. Pengboo if you have a journal and would like for me to share your link please send it to me.

I have been to Columbus Ohio a few times and I liked that city.

It also seems that just about everyone voted to steal a cruise ship. We will not have to worry about pirates. First of all we all need to remember that Rusty sells arms and ammunition. Second of all who would want to try to take over a ship that is load down with females who have pms and are trying to get away from men! Oh I would pity those pirates.

Back from Vegas

Well we made it back from Vegas. It was so nice to just get away.

Rusty pplayed Texas hold em? Something like that. I lay ed by the pool and wish that the parents would drowned their children.

I was so not in the mood to listen to other peoples children this weekend, but that is what happened. Oh well lesson learned. The Mirage hotel has a top;ess pool, so I told Rusty that I want to stay there since I know that won't be any children in that pool.

All in all it was a great trip and I am glad that we went. We were able to meet up with our friends and we spent a few hours with them. It was so nice to see them.

We went to the Merle Haggard concert on Saturday night and that was a blast! We had good seats and I smelled weed from where we were sitting. Oh I love that smell.

Now it is back to reality, and reality is the laundry is still stacked up and the kittens are sick. So today I am going to try to get he laundry caught up and the kittens have an appointment at 4 today.

I could not decide what to make for dinner, so we are going to have chili dogs and french fries. Quick and easy.

Well ladies we have to take a vote today. A gal in the UK wants us to come and get her. Since we can't drive there we will have to steal a cruise ship or steal an air craft. So which will it be?

 

So today we are off to FUQUAY VARINA, NC. I have been to NC, but I did not get to see that much of it. So faze Daze pack your bags! It is your turn to get on our bus and escape from everything!

taboo

I have been wondering about something. I wonder if people read my journal for shock effect or if because it is real life?

I have written about several things in my journal that might be considered taboo subjects, and yet I got a lot of comments and e mails on them.

Do I write about stuff that goes on all over but no one talks about it? Is it a dirty little secret to have a husband that you are intimate with?

Anyway I was just wondering. I am glad to know that by me writing about these subjects I am finding more people have the same issues that I do.

I got the house cleaned up a little bit and the babies are sleeping.

I had to call Ryan's school this morning. It seems that they told Amber yesterday that she is not allowed to pick Ryan up from the after school program. What? Well, Amber is not 18. Hello she has not been 18 all year and she has picked him up. The school said that I have to pick him up or he can't come to the after school program any more. I have a call into them.

I have to call Ambers school today and call her out tomorrow. She is going to stay home and keep the kittens until George gets off work. However tomorrow is senior ditch day, so I was advised by one of Ambers teachers to call her out today.

I finally got to see Nikki play softball! She had her first home game yesterday and their team won.

Yesterday I sitting there watching Nikkis game and the wind was just whipping. I don't know how long I zoned out but for a while I was another ball field sitting on the bleachers and I was writing Rusty a letter.

I can see this so clearly. It was the last time Rusty was in Iraq and it was Nikki's season playing softball. Rusty was so sad that he was missing it. I would write Rusty letter and then when Nikki would get up to bat I would give Rusty a play by play as to what is going on.

Rusty said he really liked those letters but that they also made him sad. He was missing his daughters first season of softball.

Rusty is going to try to get some time off so that he can see Nikki play this year.

Well I should be paying our bills. I hate paying bills. I think it is a waste of money! Lol, but I still have to do it. Money is not as tight as it was a few months ago, but it is still tight.

Lyn can't pay me to help with the rescue, so I am back to thinking about getting a job. I would need something very early morning or on the night shift. By the time I pay for gas, taxes and child care for Ryan I would not be making any money. If I work nights at least Rusty will be here.

I just don't know what to do? I so want to give my children the world and provide for their every want but I just can't. I sometimes look at my children and just want to cry. I want to know why we can't afford to pay for their trip. Why do other parents not blink an eye at it? Oh well.

O.K. today we are picking up Sharon in Lititz Pa! So Sharon send the day care children home and send all your children to France to be with your ex!

going with out sex.... not x rated

When Rusty had his heart attack a lot of things changed.

One of them was our sex life. Rusty was on such doses of blood pressure medicine that we could not have sex even if we wanted to.

I could deal with that. What hurt me was the fact that Rusty did not even want to be close to be. Rusty had no desire to even hold my hand.

That was such a dark time for me. I can live without the sex, but I still wanted to feel his body close to mine.

Over the next year his blood pressure medicine got lowered and we were able to have a sex life again. That was the best sex ever because I finally "knew" that Rusty still found me attractive.

I can go without sex, but man now that we are able to have sex I want it! O.K. who was it that left me a comment saying that I should wait til I am in my 50's?

My grandfather had his 8th child when he was 65 and he ended up marrying a women younger then his third child! Yes I have an Aunt who played with my children. Strange.

Both of the kittens have their eyes open, but they still can't see yet. I never get tired of seeing the kittens grow and learn new things.

Today I am going to clean off my sewing table/dinning room table. I have a new sewing project to get started on, but I am determined to clean the table before I start another project.

Nikki has her first home softball game today. It figures that it would be cold and damp here. We are actually suppose to get 1/4 inch of rain today. It would not surprise me at all.

O.K. today is Michele's day to be picked up, so head on into town. We will be the ones in the stollen rv, with a ton of cats and a cow.

My mother was born and raised in a small town in Ky. It was called dunville. From what I am told the town is gone. I have some of my grandmothers old love letter from wwII and the addy on them say's Betty Rakes Dunville Ky. Not steet number and no zip codes!

Holly crap I just looked your town up and Dunville is on the map! I called my mom and she laughed. She said " Yes most of them still live in the hills". So my mom want to know it you know any Davis,Payne, or Shoaf. Those are her cousins. She also said that there might be some young and hammonds hanging around.

Much needed sex

Rusty and I have been going in so many different directions and we have not had any time to ourselves. I am so looking forward to going to Vegas.

So last night I give the kittens their bottle and I get them settled down for the night. Then I go and take a bath.

I get out out of the bath and I smear smell good lotion all over my body. Then I say to Rusty "do you know how to make a car sound?"

Rusty gave me the strangest look and say's "no"

I said "Well it is your lose, I was going to practice giving you road head"

That got Rusty's attention and that lead to some sex.

Why is it that I get less sex now? I am married and sleep next to a man every night and I have less sex now then before we got married?

Rusty and I went out for ice cream and starbucks last night. So Rusty get's in my car and say's " Well I see they still don't make windshield washer fluid".

I said " if you don't drive into the sun then you can still see through all the dirt." Rusty just gave me that deep moan that means I am kill you now.

Then Rusty say's "Your car needs a front end alignment"

I kept my mouth shut, but I was thinking "I wonder if it got out of alignment when I took off roading to go look at the poppies?" I knew if I said that out loud I get a bigger moan.

I know that Rusty looks way older then he really is. I am just wondering if I am contributing to it.

Today is going to be the same stuff for me. Tomorrow I have a ton of errands to run and I am thinking about going and getting my hair trimmed. I will have to really think on that one.

But for today I am just going to hang out here at the house.

Today we are heading to south Texas. Paula did not give me a town, so we are going to drive around south Texas until we see an older lady holding her cat!
