Hey Renee! Betty is Kevin's mom. Kevin is another marine that has made himself at home in our home. LOL

Ray's retirement ceremony was very nice. We were talking with this Lt. Col. and Ray mentioned that Ryan did not have his wings on his cammies. So the Lt.Col. took off both sets of his wings and gave them to Ryan! Ryan was so proud.

I think I need to go get a cup of coffee just so I can check up on Amber. For some reason I have a feeling that she is not at try outs for the competition dance team.

I will chat with everyone later.

Well today is Ray's retirement. So we will be going back to base. I swear to you we have spent more time at camp pendleton in the last week then we have in the last two years! That cool.

Kevin came up last night. He is now due to leave on Sunday morning. I am so going to miss him, but I know that is what marines do.

I am feeling a little bit better this morning, so I think I am going to try to work out. I so need to get rid of this fat! I swear my butt looks like someone shot it with a gun. Hmmmm maybe I need a buns of steel video. LOL

I hurt!

Yes that is me today. Mr,. grumpy. I have not been in a super bad mood or anything, I am just so sore. I got up this morning and my ribs and right are were hurting. Damn the ground is hard.

Amber made the softball team! I am so proud of her. So Rusty and I are going to go to the school and pull Ambers grades. We want to make sure that her grades are still up and then we are we need to talk to the coach and find out what equipment she will need. Amber however wants to dump softball and go out for the traveling dance team. Hmmmm.....

I took Betty to the air port this morning and I was sad to see her leave. I really liked her!

I am going to go take a hot shower and try to get some sleep tonight. I have been sleeping fine until I try to move. LOL

  Well.... yesterday was so nice! I got to hang out with my girlfriends! Betty wanted to go horse back riding so I made Elle go with us. I need to explain something. I CAN ride a horse. I can chase barrels, and I know when a saddle is to small.

So we end up at base stables to go on a trail ride. These people gave me a horse named Daisy. Daisy does not like other horses behind her and she bites, so I was told that I would be th last rider. What ever. I kept telling the stable people that the saddle needed to be adjusted to fit me, but they would not listen. o.k. whatever it is just a trail ride. I was just riding along doing my own thing when Daisy got spooked and took off! she took off and went around a corner. I however just stayed where I was and landed hard on back and butt.

There are two things I have learned. One is that if the saddle does not fit demand a new one! If I had actually had a saddle that fit I would have been able to hold on better. Second thing I have learned is that vicatin ( how ever you spell the drug.! LOL) land is really nice! LOL

We went down to the Ocean and cooked out with Kevin, Betty, Elle, and some of Elle's friends. I am so glad that I took the time to do that. I got to know Betty better and I got to spend a little more time with Elle and Kevin.

I went to work today and my boss was so on my last nerve that I told him that I had to go home. I really like my boss, but man he was loosing it tonight!

Before Elle left today I asked her if she had money for food once she got back to Alaska. She said " well I have a credit card"! So when Elle was not looking I was shoving food down into her bag! Then she busted me! Elle just hugged me and told me that she loved me.

Well, I need to get some sleep. I am going to take Betty to the air port in the morning, so I need to be up and moving EARLY!

OH! there is no more Hazle. and I like that!

Today has been a good day! I got to spend some time with Elle and to meet Kevins mom!

Betty (Kevins mom) is just so nice. We did not do anything fancy. We just went down to the post for dinner and beers. I just don't think that I can put into words how nice it was to really get to know Kevins mom. I feel a real connection with her since we both love Kevin so much.

Tomorrow Betty and I are going to go horse back riding and then go check out the exchanges. I am hoping that Elle will join us. Any way after we do that we are going to go down to the beach and cook some meet and just hang out. It should be a nice day out and a nice change of pace for us.

I am off to get some sleep!

 Well, I just got in from work and I am starting to settle down so I can grab some sleep, but first I must write in mY journal.

Elle came in today and I was so happy to see her! I love seeing my friend and just being with them. I have been wanting to mention for a while what I got Elle for her birthday, but I know she reads the journal so I could not say anything. Well now I can! I knitted her two scarfs, and got her a jewelry box. Rusty on the other hand made Elle cry! Rusty found his mothers marine corps ring that he bought for his mother. So one night we were sitting on the bed and the pulls the ring out. He said to me " I think I am going to give this to Elle" Well Elle was so happy that she started to cry!

I had to take a break and give one of the cats some attention so that she would get off the keyboard! Anyway....

As for Renee. by the time we hook up again the scarf I knitted for her will be so old that her granddaughter will be using it! LOL Love you Renee!

My first night back to work went well. The lady that drugged me was there. I was nice to her, but I did not go out of my way to talk to her. I was talking to one of the petitioners tonight and he asked me what was different about me. He kept saying you look so good! Hmmmm???? Could it be because I finally got my hair done? or because I got my nails done? Could I have lost a few pounds? Or was it my change in attitude that says " Please take your cloud of gloom and doom out of my sunshine!" What ever it was, people are starting to notice the new me. I like that.

 O.K. I have my first cup of coffee, so I am now attempting to move.

Elle comes in today and I cant wait to see her! I so miss my friend. O.K. truth be told I miss all of my friends that move away.

Anyway, I hope everyone has an awesome day, I am off to start my day, and it is my first day back to work since my mother in law passed.
