I must laugh

Sometimes you just have to sit back and laugh at your children! Today is one of those days.

Nikki wanted to go to the football game and the dance. Well they were up at the high school. So she could go to the football game, but not the dance since Nikki does not have a high school i.d.

So today Amber really looked at everyone in her classes until she found someone that looks like Nikki. Then she borrowed that girls i.d. so Nikki could get into the dance. I just hope that they do not get busted!

Not to much else has gone on today. We went to base to pick up some wood, and look for a few gifts, but there really were not any good gifts to buy.

That is my day. How dull! Thats o.k. because I need some down time.

good day

So, I got up this morning a pretty good mood. I had a cup of tea and then had to get ready to start my day. After I put on my make up, I looked for the brightest color lip stick that I could find! Then I walked up to Rusty ( my hubby) I kissed him right on his chest. I left the brightest lips make ever! I told him that was so he would not forget me while I was gone!

The girls eye appointments went good. Both of the girls were disappointed that I would not buy them $200 frames. I just told them to go get a job so they could buy their own. That shut them up.

We had some time to kill before Amber had to go get her food handlers permit, so we went to this little thrift store. We got some really nice stuff! Nikki got a pair of jeans, two books and a pair of shoes. Amber got a skirt.  I got some very old pyrex, a skirt and this really cute dragon fly top! ( For those of you who do not know I collect very old kitchen stuff.) We also found an old steel Army cover and a dog dressed up in a military uniform. We put these two items up, and the girls are going to give him those for Christmas. I guess I should say that I only spent $40! I am still the queen of cheap!

Amber did get her food handlers permit, so she can now officially handle food!

I hope everyone had a great day!

not real

So I got some stuff done around the house today. I chipped a nail so I went into Ambers room to look for a nail file.

I am searching her dresser, but no nail file, I look up and there on her mirror is a picture of my father. A picture of him sick and in the bed, wearing his oxygen. I just looked at it. It is still not real to me. The man I saw and helped take care, the man who weighted nothing and did not know me. That was not my dad. Still no tears yet.

Anyway tomorrow is going to be busy. I have to pick the girls up from school early and take them to the eye doctor. Then I have to take Amber to get her food handlers permit.

I hope everyone has a great evening.

busy

I cannot believe how busy I have been the last few days!

I was so excited that the bathroom was almost done, and the central air went out! So yesterday we had to have a central air unit put in!

I still had not fully cleaned up from the bathroom when the central air guys came in and made a bigger mess! I do not even know to start.

As for the tile in the bathroom.....anyway, the cost $24.95 per sq/ft. Except for the fact that the tile is sold in mesh sheets of .90 sq/ft! A man must have priced this.

On Friday I am going to go pass out flyers. That may sound crazy, but they are paying cash, so I figured I would go do it and put the money towords my tile! LOL I love jobs that pay cash..... no tax on cash. LOL

Amber started working yesterday and she said that it was fun and that the people were nice. I just hope she feels that way in a few weeks!

I went through the house and ended up with of box of stuff that I want to take to the e bay store. I have sold stuff on e bay before, but I just do not want to mess with it, so I will let someone else!

I should go and try to start on cleaning the house. The problem is.... where to start! I guess I will take it one item at a time.

Don't forget today is hump day!

almost done

Well we are almost done with the bathroom. The toilet is out of the tub and the sink is in. Most of the base boards are up. We bought the wrong size door jams, so we have to go exchange them. OH and we got the new lighting up.

So last night I saw an add for a free industrial sewing machine. Today I sent Rusty and Tony out to get it. When they got there the lady said " are you Frank?" Rusty said he was! LOL So now I have this industrial sewing machine.

I got on e bay to see if this machine was worth anything, and they are selling just the machine for around $200! I not only have the machine, but the table that goes with it. So I am putting it up for sale. If I sell it then that will pay for the new tile in the bathroom! I know... I am so bad.

I have also put my bear claw tub up for sale. I am still not sure if I want to, but it is just taking up space. I through it out there and if anyone buys it then they buy it.

I need to get to bed. Tomorrow we not only have to finish the bathroom, but we also have to go to the dump and drop off our old vanity.

still working

Well lets see. The only thing left in the bathroom is the tub! And to top it off the toilet is in the tub!

The walls have been sanded and primed. So now we need to paint, install the new sink, put the toilet back, clean the tub, replace a cabinet....... OH hell we are so not close to being done.

Tomorrow I will be able to call about that tile. I really hope that it is not to expensive.

I hope everyone has a great labor day!

demo

Well today we started on the children's bathroom. So tomorrow we get the great joy of sanding the walls and getting them ready to be primed! I do not doing remodeling work. I think it is great to see the end project and know that I did that! I have been looking for tile and tonight I found it! I will have to take on some side jobs to pay for the tile, but that is o.k. I do not mind working for what I want. I tried to copy the picture to show everyone the tile, but I cant. So here is the link. I want the one in left hand corner. http://www.montereyceramictile.com/catalog/glassbubble/glassbubbles2/index.htm

I am actually thinking about selling my bear claw bath tub. I know I can get $800 for it, but I just want to keep it. I want to keep it in hopes of one day using it, however I should get rid on it. Maybe I will put it up for sale and if no one buys it then it was meant to be mine!

We went down to the lake today and rented a jet ski. Rust really liked it and now he wants to buy one! Maybe will find a used one before next summer.

I need to get to bed.
