got to go!

Oh how I wish my car looked this good. I drive an early 90's chevy lumina. That's right I drive the grocery getter!

Anyway, I have to go to San Diego today to pick up a friend. Oh I hope my back and hip do not hurt to bad!

Rusty told the girls that I was not to get out of bed yesterday so I spent yesterday in bed. It sucked. we have 400 channels and I could not find anything to watch.

I did get some sleep during the day and I slept most of the night. However I woke in pain and had to take more pain medicine. I just want this pain to go away!

I found out yesterday that our "house guest" got orders and he will be leaving for a ship in middle east. So I guess I won't have to worry about him for a while. Darn. LOL

Rusty had to drive out near Palm Springs today. The marines out there needed an ass load of gear, so he is delivering it today. Ambers boyfriend Sam went with Rusty, so that should be interesting. Rusty and Sam alone together! On a good note, Rusty is taking the rest of the day off once he is done with the delivery. I so wanted him around yesterday.

I need to go get into a shower and get ready to go. Then once I am home it is back to bed

That's it I give up! I am going to go see the holistic healer. When I was working as a day laborer I hurt my back several times. And now my hip is killing me. My husbands pain meds are not working any more. I just cried this morning because I could not move.

I give in. My body is in need of TLC and I must give in. For those of you who don't know I am a little strange.... o.k. a lot strange. I do not go to doctors I believe that the body can be healed in other ways. * just so people don't think I am way out there. I would never take hubby to a healer when he is having a heart attack!*

Anyway the lady that I am going to go see does Reflexology, acupressure and uses magnets. She has worked wonders before.

I am going to do a little as possible today. I got most of the quilt put together, but if I got on the floor to pin it, I don't think I would get off the floor! LOL so no working on the quilt today.

Nikki's boyfriend asked Rusty if he could take Nikki to the winter formal. So it looks like we will be dress shopping soon. We will hit some of our favorite thrift stores and see what they have. Amber was asked to the prom by her boyfriend, but since the boyfriend has not asked Rusty about it I won't start shopping for that dress yet.

Ryan use to play on a special needs baseball team and the baseball coach for that team called me yesterday and asked if I was going to put Ryan back in. Rusty and I both said no. Because Ryan is high functioning and most of the children on the team are not, well it just is not a challenge for him. The running club is a challenge for him and we like him being challenged!

There is a place here in town that offers belly dancing lessons. So I think once I get my back and hip fixed I am going to go sign up for classes. I think it sounds like fun, and it something that I have never done before, so that is a plus for me. LOL I just love trying new things.

o.k. well I am going to sink into a nice hot tub. The pain meds are starting to hit, so I can move a little bit more. I just need to remember not to do to much.

cold morning

Brr it is cold this morning. According to the news it is suppose to warm up. I hope so because I wanted to give the dogs a bath. They are all getting stinky.

So last night Rusty and I are laying in bed and we are watching some t.v. Then a commercial comes on. I rolled over and looked at him and said "lets get one of those kiddie pools and fill it with jello and have sex in it." He just looked at me like a dog looks at a high pitched sound and said " no, that does not even sound like fun" Bummer for me.

Ryan has running club today and he is really liking this whole running thing. He said that there is another child from his class in running club. I am so happy that he is having a good time.

Rusty is off work today since he has a doctors appointment today. It will be nice to actually have dinner with him. So I am going to make him his favorite dish.

My goal for today is to work on my quilt. I ran out of the material that I bought, so I had to go digging through all of my stashes of material. I think I have found enough to finish the back. The back of the quilt will be pieced to get her, but that is o.k.

Brrr I am still cold!

I am sitting here eating milk and cookies, just enjoying the smell of my house! Today I went through and did a really good cleaning on it, then I opened all of the windows so that we could get some fresh air inhere, then I went back and used a disinfectant on everything! MMMMMM the house smells so clean.

Last night I chatted with my mom via IM. I still have not spoken to her since she told me about her will. I guess she is doing fine, and she said that she was going down to sign the will today.  I am still not ready to speak to her on the phone.

am I strange?

So last night Nikki and I are talking about her trip. She said that missions trip leader will stop by to sign the papers and that she had made some of her phone calls to get some support.

Then she stopped and finally said that she was upset because she know a guy that wants to go on the trip but his mother will not even discuss it. She said that it is dangerous and that she would not send her child into harms way and that was that.

Nikki asked me why I say yes to them every time they want to travel. I had to think about it for a moment. Why do I let my children just pack up and leave?

I finally said "Well there are a few reasons. One is that I think you should travel and see the world when the opportunity presents its self. And two because I know that are days are numbered and when our time is done it is done. Weather we are sitting a rocking chair or seeing the great wall of China"

Does that make me strange? Does that make me a bad mom because I do not worry when my children go off into the great unknown. Or does that make me a good mom for allowing my children to take advantage of every opportunity?

Today I have to go DMV and get a temp sticker for the car since we forgot that it had to be smogged and we know that it won't pass smog anyway! I have a gift card for a store out near the dmv, so I may do some shopping while I am out there.

Two of our friends will be home soon and I am getting so excited! I talked to one of their moms last night and we are making all the plans for the home coming. We have to try to buy enough food to feed 12 people and we have to do it on a budget! LOL Our house is going to be full, but at least it will be filled with people that I want to see. I so cannot wait to hug our friends and tell them thank you.

Ryan starts running club today and I hope that he likes it. I think it will be good for him to have something else to do. I guess we will see when I pick him up.

what a night

I spent last night just held up in our room. It turns out that the house guest invited another person up! We are not motel 6! Then to top it all off I heard this chick say where am I suppose to sleep? If I sleep on the floor I wont be able to walk in the morning!

This morning I got up an just tried really hard to act like no o ne was here. I refused to clean up after anyone and now I am just leaving it for someone else to clean.

I have started on my quilt. It is going to be one of those rag quilts where all of the seams show. I know that it will turn out so cute. I can't wait to have it done so that I can sleep with it.

I am not going to be doing much today. My hip is really hurting me, and I know that I really need to go see the healer about it. So for now I am going to chill and work on my quilt.

Sorry for not commenting, but I am trying to make myself disappear when other people are around. All I wanted was to spend just one night with my husband and the children. I did not want to do anything I just wanted to be with them without other people here. Is that to much to ask?

I am so proud of Nikki. She made $205! Three cheers for Nikki. I must say that I am very proud of her.

So here is a short but funny list of items that Nikki sold.

I am telling you this child can sell anything! LOL

Now that the yard sale is over we are going to take the left overs down to the good will.

I did finish my puzzle today, so now I can start on some quilts! I can finally get busy with dragonfly material.

Oh joy the house guest from hell just walked in. Maybe I can hide from him? oh well

Back to my life... Tonight Rusty and I have nothing planned. We are going to order pizza and watch some t.v. I just love hanging out with hubby.

Well it is time for me to go hide. I will have to chat with everyone later.
