lost ass

So yesterday I am taking Rusty up to the hospital. We take this back road, and there are signs for ass crossing. I have never seen an ass on that road, until yesterday. There was an ass dead on the side of the road! Someone literally lost their ass. Then four hours later when we were coming home I was wondering if anyone had removed the ass. OH NO, someone came out and tagged the ass, but it was still there.

Rusty's test went great and everything looks good. I am so happy.

Tonight Rusty is going to take the children down to safe Halloween night. The shops on main street are going to be open and they will have some games set up. I am going to stay home and pass out candy.

I have started a new project. I weaving a rug. I am using the canvas from the latch hook and then all you do is weave material through it. I have never done a rug before, so this will be where I make all of my mistakes!

I just thought of this. It is 25 years ago today that we laid my grandmother to rest. That was creepy being in a cemetery on Halloween. Later on as I grew up I would go to cemetery's and play, but as a child I was not happy.

I hope everyone has a great day!

2 bottles of wine

last night some good friends come over. Sonja and I sat down and drank two bottles of wine, and just bitched about life. It is so nice to have friends like that!

At one point in the night her twins got bored, so we gave each of them our cell phones and they called each other for about an hour! It was so cute to see them running around calling each other. I love free nights and weekends!

I woke up this morning with my back just hurting so bad. I could not even stand up! I two of Rustys Tylonel 5 and went back to bed. Once the pain left I was able to get up and get moving. I should have done something crazy to feel that bad!

I talked to my mom today, and she had a bad weekend. She went down to the summer house to close it up and she said it just seemed so final. She is not selling the place, but dad was not there to help her close everything up.

Rusty has his stress test first thing in the morning, so I hope that goes well. I am sure that he will be fine.

venting

I mentioned before that I had the house guest from hell, well she is back. So let me give you some back ground.

Our friend Tony met her when they were stationed in Italy together. This gal called Tony once he got back to San Diego and mentioned that she was having a hard time. This gals parents flew her home ( California).

So Tony was trying to help her get into the merchant marines. This will take between 3 and 6 months. So while she trying to get all of the paper work done, we thought we would help her out.

BIG mistake. All she does is bitch about sleeping on her parents sofa and working a min. wage job. I took her out to look at some low income apartments. She did not even get an application. We tried to convince her to go take her driving test. She has not done anything about that.

Then last night she tells me that she got a job at Disney. She is suppose to start today! So why in the hell is your ass at my house? Your parents live 20 min. from there and we live 2 hours away!

Disney is starting her at $10 plus benefits and she is just blowing it off! I will never listen to her bitch about her situation again!

I will not help someone that blows off a great job. I am sorry but if I was sleeping on my parents sofa and bithing about it, I would not blow off a great job!

I got up this morning to find out that everyone made breakfast. They were so proud of themselves that they loaded the dishwasher. However what ever dishes did not fit they just stacked in the sink. I just love washing dishes first thing in the morning.

I think the next time this gal bitches I am going to say: " I do not want to hear you complain. We offered to help, you blew off a great job, and now you can just suck it up"

shocked

So today I get this package addressed to me and it from Pa.! i do not know anyone in Pa.! I open it up and it this huge blue cross and blue shield book. Inside the book is a form letter telling me that they have taken money out of my ex's pay check to cover health, vision and dental! I called the person whose name was on the form letter, but she will not be until Monday.

Is this true? Did my ex finally get a job? Every time he does get a job, it takes about 4 weeks for the child support to be taken and then he stops working. My question on Monday is going to be " Is he still working there?" Lets face it after taxes, child support and the insurance he will not be bringing home very much! Oh well, not my issue.

I have been the one who has always provided for the children. Weather it was clothes or a place to live. I don't know what it will be like to actually have insurance.

So after I got the bedroom cleaned the belt on the vacuum broke. I asked my husband to replace it. It turns out that more then the belt was broken, the whole roller thing had broke. So I had to go buy a new vacuum today. That sucked.

I am so glad that Halloween is almost here. I so want to get all of this crap put away.

reached my goal

Last night I told myself that I had to clean our bedroom today. I am so bad about stacking clean laundry up, I hate dusting our room and I really need to get into the corners and just clean.

For a master bedroom, I swear our sucks! It has no windows so we get no natural light. We have no storage! I swear to you a guy designed our room.

Anyway, I got it done and I am much happier! All of the laundry is put away, I got out the shop vac and cleaned in the corners and I even dusted! I do feel so much better now that everything is done.

The firers are burning about 30 miles from our house. Yesterday we could see the haze from the fire. I just hope we get some rain soon. However there is no rain in the forecast.

Rusty just got back from social security. He said it only took him 2 hours this time! Why does it take so long to just drop off a paper!

Anyway, I am off to finish my day.

good news

Well, all of the test results came back and there are not more blockages in the heart and the stent is working good!

Rusty had to take it easy today, and thats cool because he said that he was in a lot of pain anyway. I am just happy that at this moment we are not looking at a heart attack.

Sorry for not commenting in journals, I have been busy taking care of Rusty and getting some house work done.

Did I mention that this kid asked Rusty if he could take Nikki to the homecomming dance? Well Rusty said yes. He really is not a big tough guy.

I love hollt hobie. I use to actually have a doll of her and I even had a cake in the shape of her.

Tomorrow Rusty has to go down to social security. He is trying to apply for his disability. Anyway he called them today and they need a copy of his dd214. Well why dident they tell us? I do not undrestand the government!

Well I hope you guys like the pictures! My edit botton stopped working! I am just in no mood to mess with it.

big day

Well we go in tomorrow. I do hope that everything goes well.

I have made all of the arrangements. A girlfriend is going to feed the children dinner and take Amber to work. Nikki is going to miss dance so she can be here when Ryan gets home. Ryan and Nikki have a ride to youth group.

Whenever something happens I have to count on my friends. Both of Rusty's parents are dead. In the past my parents have turned me down when I needed help, so I do not even ask anymore. Rusty and I are on our own.

Nikki's boyfriend asked Rusty if he could take Nikki to the homecoming dance. Rusty said yes. I was actually shocked. I just hope that Nikki has a dress to wear. I don't think I am going to have time to go buy her one, and the dance is on Saturday!

I am off to bed. We have an early morning.

busy day

I love this picture! So Rusty went to the Cardiologist yesterday. The doc. thinks thiat Rusty's stent is getting clogged. So the doc. put him back on plavix, and is going to get him in for the die test. I was told that he has any more chect pains to take him to hospital and give him his nitro pills.

Today Rusty and I went to do some running around. I saw these really cute jeans and he told me to buy them! I was so jazzed. I usually do not spend that much on my clothes. Also they were a size 9! What is that about? I usually wear a size 5/6. I guess it all depends on who makes the jeans.

Rusty got a phone call from Nikkis boyfriend yesterday. He would like to talk to Rusty tonight after they get done with band pratice. Rusty really wants to know what this young man wants.

So far this year school is going good for the children. I am so glad that they are at the age where they can sit down and do their homework with my help. Then again some of Nikkis math I would not be able to help her with anyway.

I am going to go do nothing for the rest of the day! OH spell check is not working, so excuse my spelling.

pictures

Well I have gotten nothing done today! However I did get some pictures of the children so here they are! The picture were taken by the lake where we live. I just having the lake and the mountain in the back ground.

I must be spoiled. We get to swim in the lake and see the mountains at the same time!

enough is enough?

So a few years ago our washer broke. At that exact moment we could not afford a new washer. I found someone giving away a stackable washer and dryer. It was not what I wanted, but it was free and it was washing my clothes.

A month later we got a new duet washer. I gave the stackable to our neighbor because her washer broke.

On Monday they asked us if the could do a load of laundry because that washer broke. O.K. I let them do a load of laundry. Then today they came back and asked again if they could do their laundry. I grit my teeth and said yes, but rusty said this would be their last load.

Rusty does have a point. We are using our soap, water, and electricity and over a year ago we gave them a washer. They really need to find a washer.

Do we sound mean? I am just sick of giving them hand outs.

picture day

Well the pictures went well today! I was very pleased that all of the children were very well behaved, and that they had a good time! I can't wait to see the pictures. Yes, I will post some when I get them.

We took some special pictures for our friends in Iraq. I made up three signs. One said Semper Fi, another one said we miss you, and the third on said you are our heros. I am going to frame those pictures and send them to our friends for Christmas. I know they will like something home.

Today I gave Rusty a list of some things that I would like to go do. Now that the weather is cooling down we can get out and do more. So here is my list.

1. The la brae tar pits. I hear this is a cool place to visit, So I want to check it out.   http://www.tarpits.org/

2. Go to Julian California. I hear that it is beautiful this time of year. http://gocalifornia.about.com/cs/sandiego/a/julian.htm

3. visit the Reagan presidential library. Reagan air force one is now there! http://www.reaganlibrary.net/

I think that it would be fun to visit these places. It will be something different.

I would so like to go take a bath and get ready for bed, but Amber is not home yet, so I am sure that she is going to need a ride home from the dance.

just sharing

This week has been a very emotional week for me. First I find out that Elle might be recalled. Then another friend called from Iraq and said that he was o.k. but he lost some buddies this week. Then this morning I got an e mail from another friend who said he would be sleeping on the hood of his truck tonight.

Now lets rewind about three years. Rusty is in Iraq. My girlfriends Renee and her two children are living with us.

It was sometime in January and Renee and I had just gotten all of the children in bed. There was a fire in the fire place and I had put the kettle on for some tea. We were going to work on a puzzle and do nothing for the rest of the night. Then the phone rang.

It was Rusty on the other end. He was on duty, he was cold and he was tired. Rusty just kept saying how cold he was and that he could not warm up no matter what he did.

I felt like shit! So the next day I went out and I bought Rusty some new warmer socks, a blanket and some long under ware. A few weeks later he called to tell me that he got the package. I felt so guilty that I was warm and he was not.

We still have that blanket, and from time to time I look at it and laugh.

Fast foward to now. I emailed our friend back and told him this story. I asked him if I needed to send him an air matress.

Tonight:

I will not complain about not having my favorite blanket.

I will not complain that the children used all of the hot water before I got my shower.

I will not complain that we need a new bed.

no sleep

Yesterday I changed the bedding on our bed. My blankets were not dry so I just grabbed some other blankets. Those blankets kept falling off the bed and I was cold most of the night. Then I got up to go to the bathroom and tripped over the blankets and almost fell head first into the dresser! I sure hope that today is better.

Rusty took Amber to try to get her permit again. I sure hope she passes it.

Saturday we have an appointment to go get some pictures done. I think the children will have a blast with them. We are going to make up a sign that says "we miss you" and have the children's pictures taken with it. We are going to send them to our friends in the middle east. I know they will like the pictures.

Today I do not have a ton of stuff to do, so I may be able to get a nap in today.

Yes Renee I guess what you did the other day counts! I just believe that there is a bigger world out there and that we all need to do something to make a positive change in the world. The power of one is very great.

I am starting to look around for Christmas gifts. I need two i pod's, a small t.v. with dvd player, a leepster game system, a lap top, and then some other odds and ends. I swear as the children get older there gifts get more expensive, but they do get fewer gifts.

I only get Rusty one gift for Christmas, and I try to make it something that he really wants or would not expect. I think that this year I am going to get him miniature of all of his medals and ribbons. This way he can wear them on a suit when he goes to a military function. He will never expect that!

I need more coffee! bye for now

are you game?

So I was sitting down knitting another scarf when I thought that I would see how many readers are game for something different.

At our house you must try something new. The girls went on mission trip, ryan got to fire an m16, I went jet skiing..... you get the picture.

Anyway, I also try very hard to get out of my comfort zone and do something for someone else.

This week I would like to challenge every one to do something for a total stranger. Here are some ideas, and if any of you guys follow Marths journal, you may have some of this ready to go!

Take a sack lunch, blanket or a coat to a homeless person

Take your old towels ,blankets or a bag of dog to the animal shelter

You can get creative. Let me know what you did and how it felt when you were done.

wat to early

Yes I am so spoiled! I had to get up early today so that I could take Ryan to school. I actually got out of the bed at the crack of 7:30!

Today is going to be a good day. I am telling myself that because so far all I have done is answer my cell phone! I do not have anything special to do today, But I do have the usual stuff to do.

So Rusty says to me yesterday " my heart pills are in the right hand pocket of my jeans" I said "o.k. do you need one?" "he said no I just want you to know because I took one this morning"

Well that is information that I needed when it happened! I swear he is just so casual about it. He was like....pass the mashed the mashed potatoes and oh I had to take my heart pills" GUYS!

The good news is Rusty goes back to the doctor next week and then has a stress test at the end of the month.

Amber is going to homecoming this year. I don't think she has date but that is o.k. I just hope she has a good time.

Nikki has a vollyball tournment today. How this child can just push herself and not have to many problems with her asthma is beyond me.

I am just proud of all of my children.

O.K. enough about nothing. I need to get busy.

pack rat and stacker

My husband is a stacker and keeper. I am the one that sorts mail by the trash! LOL

So today I am sick of looking at stacks of shit, so I am cleaning it out. Do we really need a sales flyer from last week?

Did anyone see oprah yesterday? I liked the part where she was talking to the amish people. I need to simplify my life more.

My ex had family members who use to live in the community. I really did admire them. They were so happy, and yet their lives were so simple. I sometimes wonder if I am bogged down by to many possession. As a matter of fact I know I am!

Anyway I am off to finish cleaning.

something new

Yesterday I spent all day in the car. I had to go to each of the children school and drop something off to each of them. I was so sick of driving!

Today I am just going to hang out and do some stuff around here.

I did something this morning that I have never done before. I actually ground meat to make hamburger meat! We were so sick of how high ground beef prices were that we bought a grinder. It was so easy to do, and I know that it will have a lot less fat since I trimmed the meat myself.

The dogs will get a nice treat tonight. I saved all of the fat and I am going to pan fry it with some garlic. They will really like dinner tonight!

Ryan started his new school yesterday and he seems to like it. I am glad about that.

I talked to my mom yesterday and she is so frusterated that she just wants to cry. The insurence companies are giving her the run around. Her yard is still a mess from the tornando, and since it has been raining there, she cannot even burn the leaves and twigs.

I am looking fowared to spending some alone time with Rusty! All of the children are in school and..........

Sunday, October 15, 2006

some people

So all day yesterday I sat on our bed and knitted. I did not even get dressed! Everyone kept asking me what was wrong.

How many times do I have to say that nothing is wrong. I just did not want to be with anyone. I do not want to sit and watch old westerns, I do not want to go shoot pool, and no I am NOT going to clean up the kitchen since I did not make the mess.

I am so frustrated! I finally got even more blunt and told them that when they do something that I might enjoy to please let me know.

So today, everyone is at the air show and I am so happy not to be there.

Maybe I am just being stubbern, but I am sick of doing what everyone else wants to do, so I am not doing it anymore.

Today I went and got a pattern for some slippers, so I am going to try to make some slippers for our oldest daughter. I hope they turn out cute.

Saturday, October 14, 2006

I am alone

The only sound I can hear right now is the sound of the dishwasher running. I LOVE it.

Nikki is at a friends house and everyone else went to do some running around.

I however have not even gotten dressed, nor do I intend to get dressed.

The house guest is back. Her name is Amanda, and she is a friend, of our friend Tony. Anyway, I am just not in the mood to be with people.

The bathroom is done! I am sooooo happy. I will try to get some pictures soon. So that is one project down and several more to go. I am hoping to have the house fixed up so that we can make a bigger profit off of it when we sell it. I am looking for "expensive upgrades" that won't break our budget.

Everyone was going to go to the Miramar air show today, but it raining down there, so I guess everyone will just be hanging out here.

I am going to go back to bed and do nothing. I am thinking that I will watch some and knit all day.

Yes, I know I am so lazy!

For everyone that is trick or treating through J land, I got my first visitor. So please stop by and say boo!

bed time

well the tile is in. Tomorrow I will get to finish cleaning up that mess! LOL I will try to post some pictures of it.

I should have been in bed a long time ago. I had to take our house guest home and she forgot what exit to take! We ended up in east l.a.. It was like a bad chech and chung movie. I will never take here home again!

I am just worn out and I still have to take a bath! Good night.... oh wait it is morning.

Thursday, October 12, 2006

a better day

I went to bed last night just so disgusted with the house. I TRIED to clean it yesterday, but I don't think it worked.

We have this gal we know staying with us for a week, and Rusty says that it is hard to clean with house guest. Boy is he right!

I was sweeping the house and she says to me, well is there anything I can do to help? So I told her that I was going to mop next. So this gal went and go me the bucket and the mop, and sat back down! What the hell? Get up and help me!

I have a gentlemen coming over to look at the tub I have for sale. If he buys it, I will have made an extra $250 off stuff that I got for free! I am going to take that money and go to costco and stock up!

I had to get our bathroom and bedroom cleaned up yesterday, since everyone will be using that one once the tile goes in. I am so jazzed that I am getting the tile in today, and that I am going to learn how to do it! I will try to take some pictures of the bathroom.

Anyway, I need to get busy.....

Wednesday, October 11, 2006

still chillin

Well today was a little better for me. I did get up and get some stuff done.

I do not know why, but I have just been so lazy, oh well.

We are suppose to lay the tile for the bathroom tomorrow and I am hoping that everything goes as planned. I would really like to get the bathroom done!

I also have a guy coming over to look at our tub. I am hoping that he buys it! That will be an extra $250 from stuff that I did not pay for! I do often check out craigslist and I sometimes just stumble upon good deals.

Well here is a link to explain Thanksgiving. http://www.history.com/encyclopedia.do?articleId=223969 . Here is how I do Thanksgiving. I usually take fresh bread and make it stale so that I can stuff it in a dead turkey. The turkey takes forever to cook, so you have to start it early. I will cook stuff like corn, rolls, and pies. Please notice that I said "I WILL COOK" The guys are usually drinking beer and watching football. Then I have to clean up. We usually serve about 50 people for a normal meal.

This year I just do not want to do it. But I am going to do it. We should have about 14 people total. I am going to order our dinner from the store. They will cook everything so all I have to do is heat it up.

I will write more later.

Tuesday, October 10, 2006

I am back

I have been so busy for the last few days. I have been reading but not being able to comment.

Rusty and I have decided to put Ryan back in school. We found a school with an awesome program. So today Rusty took Ryan down to get a current t.b. Then he found out that Ryan needed four more shots. So Ryan is very sore today.

I think I have sold my old bear claw tub! I am so jazzed that I am getting $200 for something that I got for free. I also sold a wheel chair for $50 and we got it for free! LOL I am getting good at this whole selling thing.

Today I did get the kitchen cleaned up but then the children came home and that was the end of the clean kitchen.

This year for Thanksgiving I am going to order a complete dinner pre cooked. I just do not feel like cooking so some people I know are going to pitch in, so none of us have to cook. I am thinking about getting a jolly jumper so that all the little kids will be out of our hair.

I so need to get busy on getting some of the quilts done. I am telling you guys that I have not done anything!

My mom bought her tickets so I guess she really is coming out here for Christmas. I did not think she would actually come.

I hope everyone is doing good.

Saturday, October 7, 2006

laughing about sex.

I got woke up early by our friend trying to cook breakfast.

It is so cold here! It is down to 50.

So I remembered that friction causes heat.

I asked Rusty if he wanted to go have sex.

Here are a few things that your mate does not want to hear during sex.

1. your children banging on the door

2. honey don't move the cats, they can watch us

3. put the blankets back on I am so cold

4. how cold does it have to get before your testicles crawl up inside of you.

This is just so no one says these things during sex.

nothing

I have done nothing today!

I did get some material out to sew up some quilts, but that is as far as I got on that.

Then I took Rusty's stuff to the dry cleaners. After that I stopped by my friends house. She was also doing nothing. So we each sat on a different sofa's and did nothing! LOL Then I told her that I was hungry so she slid some Chinese food across the floor to me! We are so lazy.

About an hour ago I had to do something so that the day was not a complete waste, so I loaded the dish washer and mopped the floor.

I was just talking to Rusty about what we want to buy for the children for Christmas. I have been thinking about buying Ryan that Leapster video game. However I am not sure if he will use it. Ryan "thing" is helicopter and since the leapster does not have that I am wondering if he will use it.

I guess I should explain that ALL he plays with are his helicopter. He has an ass load of toys and does not play with them. So Rusty and are not going to buy him any more helicopter and kinda force him to play with other things. Is that the right answer?

I think I am going to go take a bath and finish doing nothing.

not much going on

I am sitting here eating what is left of the apple crisp. ymm it is so good!

I have the house to myself today, so what should I do? I think I am going to clean out my material.

I spoke with a good friend yesterday who gave me some advice on my mom.

I have been debating the whole giving my mom money thing. If she asks yes I will give it to her. However my friend made a valid point.

My friend does relief work with the red cross, and she was saying that it is better to enpower my mom then to do it for her. Such as maybe help her file a claim, or contact fema. If I go and do everything for her, then what happens the next time?

oh who knows? I do not know what is the right thing to do. Before my dad became ill it was so much easier. I just never spoke to my mother. I knew things would change after he died, but why is she leaning on me? Why doesn't she go lean on my sister?

Anyway, I some people interested in my bear claw tub! If they bought it that would be an extra $200! I love this thing of picking up other peoples trash and then selling it!

My spots are spreading up my legs. They are so ugly. So last night I decided that Rusty needed some spots. So I gave him some on his chest. He calls them hickies, I call them matching spots.

I am going to go get busy on some stuff.

Thursday, October 5, 2006

gone

Well I sold the sewing machine yesterday. That $200 was gone so fast! LOL I paid for a conference that the girls want to go to and I paid my mom's yard guy. Rusty said well at least it did not come out of our budget! LOL

So anyway, here is a conversation I had with my mom yesterday.

Me: Hey mom what is going on?

mom: Well you missed an eventful few day's here

Me: What happened?

mom: I woke up at 10:32 because I heard a train coming. I grabbed my glasses and headed to the basement. After the train passed I went up stairs to find out that a tornado just went through our neighborhood.

Me: are you o.k.? how much damage was done to the house?

mom: I had a few trees come down, the roof we put on is bent, the garage roof is missing some shingles, the wood pile is scattered. I have not gone up into the attic to check for damage yet, we just got power back. I have been with out power for three days.

Me: did you lose all of your food? Is the house safe to live in?

mom: dad bought a generator before he got real sick and showed me how to use it. I was able to keep the fridge, the freezer and the sump pump running. But then I ran out of fuel and the pump could not run, so the basement flooded.

Me: do you need for me to come out there? Do you have power now?

mom: no, you do not need to come back, I do have power now. So now I have to start the clean up. What I need is for your dads life insurence policy to come in. I need to have the rest of the trees removed.

me: do you need us to send you some money?

mom: I do not know. all I do know right now is that The branches are off the power lines, and the house is still standing.

Then we just bull shited for a while. It is so late in the year, tornandos do not usually hit this time of year.

This may sound bad, but I am so glad that dad died before this happened. I do not know what my mom would have done with no power and my dad. I do know that she would not have been able to get him to the basement in time.

Anyway, Rusty took Amber to get her drivers permit. I so hope that she passes the test. Amber is also dissapointed that she is only working two days this week when she asked for more hours. I told her to wait and see what next week brings.

today I am going to do some stuff around here. I need to go get a tarp so that I can cover the desk I am working on. we are suppose to get some rain and I would hate for it to get ruined before I get it done.

I hope everyone has a great day.

spots and ed

Well it is officail, the spots on my legs are eczema! My had eczema and so did my grandmother. My mom said they use to did people in tar to get rid of the spots. I do not think so. There are so creams and even so meds that I can take, but I will not use anything unless they get really bad. I just don't like putting stuff in or on my body unless I have to.

As for Viarga. Yes, blood preasure meds cause e.d. however if the we used something like viagra that would raise his blood preasure, and people with a heart condition have been warned not to take it.

Do not get me wrong. Sex is a very important of our relationship, and yes I talk about it a lot. But I would rather do without sex and have my husband.

No, I do not make any of my graphics. I so do not know how to do that.

So check this out. I sold that industerial sewing machine. I got it for free, and I sold it for $200! I told my husband that I wanted to keep my eyes open for some more free stuff that we can turn around and sell. Then last night he came home with a guys name and number who has some stuff that he just wants gone! So we are going to go get it, and sell it. I am going to put all of that money twords Christmas!
