parenting

Well it is official. I am the worst mom in the world.

Nikki and Ryan hate me.

I had words with Nikki this morning. She hates me and wants to leave. I told her to pack her bags.

I just got a call from Ryan's school and they are rejecting everything for his upcoming iep.

I am done. I can't do this anymore today.

Maybe things will look better tomorrow.

Kelli, good  job telling Nikki to pack up, its hard to do but when my youngest was almost 17 she dicided the same thing so I told her to go, well she was gone about 2 weeks I was worried to death about her but she finally decided it was not as easy as it looked to be out there on her own. She lost about 8 pounds didn't hurt her a bit. She learned a lot in 2 weeks came back home an straightened her butt up, she is 43 now and she laughs about how smart she thought she was at that age. I always told her I hoped she had a daughter just like her.... Boy she had 2 and they where a hand full. She says I put a curse on her ...lol Nikki will get it sooner or later hopefully sooner. Have a better day....Hugs BJ I read you all the time...

Do you know,I have that every day, everyone hates me,but then they always want something,I feel like a bloody robot most of the time, its not easy being a parent, even less easy being a woman, why doesnt someone write a book on how to bring up kids, then we can blame the book when they dont like it.Hugs zoe xxxxxxx

Nikki is a teen, she's going to hate you for the next at least 5 years (depending on how old she is); she has it good at home, let her try making it on her own, she'll be back in a heart beat. I'm sorry about Ryan's IEP; that's the toughie here. Any parent advocates that can help you?

I feel your pain, honey! I sometimes just avoid the school issue altogether because the IEP process makes me insane. I have resisted the urge to get too deeply involved in what Cody's doing in Georgia because he DID make the decision to get out from under my protection. I have to put my energy toward raising Austin. Teenagers are a rotten, ungrateful bunch. Trust me... I have enough of 'em to know...
*sending you great big "hang in there" hugs*

I hate that you had a day like this.  But I can see your humour is still intact from the cartoon you used.  Hang on to that humour.  You know things will get better.  Just hang on!

Someone once told me, you get to be hated , everyone else gets to enjoy the benefits of your parenting. How true indeed! Tomorrow is another day hon, hope it finds you loved. (Hugs) Indigo

Honey it has to be the age because at the moment I can't wait until Lauren leaves for college she's getting on my last nerve and everything is about her. I hate that.
Hang in there.
Take care, Chrissie
