Wanna ride?

I am on a teenager roller coaster right now. Does anyone want to join me?

Sunday night Nikki said that she was going to spend the night at a friends house and then Nikki said that they would bring her home.

So yesterday I called Nikki and she did not answer her phone. Now there is a very simple rule in our house. If I call you then you better answer your phone.

So I called Nikki's boyfriend. I just had this feeling that she was with him, and she was not suppose to be with him. The boyfriend did not answer. So I called the friend that she was suppose to be spending the night with. That was when I found out that she was not doing what she is suppose to be doing.

Nikki finally called me and I told her in a very calm voice to get her ass home and to put her cell phone on my bed, and that she was now on lock down. No phone, no computer, no friends, no going anywhere, no nothing. I did add one extra condition to lock down and that is the fact that she must get a job.

I am not stressing this whole thing. I have been through this before and I still have one more to go. Nikki will eventually get over being mad at me.

Today C.J. and I are going out to 29 palms to help George out. George bought a truck that is a stick and she can't drive a stick! So I am going to go with George to pick up the truck. Why does someone buy a stick and not know how to drive it?

My dad made me learn how to drive stick. All of their vehicles were sticks so if I wanted to drive I had to learn how to drive a stick. I take it for granted that everyone was raised like me and can drive a stick. However I am finding more and more people that drive a stick. Oh crap I just realized that Amber does not know how to drive a stick. I need to teach Amber how to do that.

Rusty took the day off. So he will be here doing all of my afternoonrunning around. And I will be giving him a honey do list.

Well my day is calling me so I better get to it.

love those teens!! (I have an 18 y/o that has done his share of things to cause me grief); I do believe the best thing for Nikki is a job (my kid tends to do better when he doesn't have a lot of time on his hands and is working). I hope she feels motivated to get one (also a hard thing to do to push a teen to do something they don't want to do especially if it takes away their "chill time").

I learned how to drive a shift and I'm glad I did; now it doesn't matter what vehicle we have, no problem to drive it. Son knows how to, too.

You are a kind friend to help your friend in this way

safe travels,
betty

Oh...hey I'll pass on this one....I just got off this ride....ummm wait no she is still driving me batty...

Skye put us through this. She would ask to go someplace and somehow forget to give us an address or phone # to reach her. My pet peeve big time.....I never minded her hanging with friends , even overnighters. I wanted to know where, how, when, who she was with at all times. In this day and age you can't be too careful. They don't get it , why we worry and what they put us through.

I've been with Doc 4 almost 5 years and in all that time I never seriously seen him pissed off like he was the last time Skye pulled her shenanigans....She didn't say a word for days, I think she knew better he was furious.

Oh dear, teens will be teens.  Raymond was the one who got in trouble in high school.  Gary did about the same thing but managed not to call attention to himself as Raymond did when he was acting up.  He always got caught.  The police wouldget involved.  My answer was usually always to move with him somewhere else to try to get him away from his partners in trouble.  Before I knew it he would make new reckless friends and get in trouble again.  We moved to California once hoping for a new start and before one week was out he had got in trouble for drinking beer underage.  He and I both got on probation that time, as they had a policy of treating the parent like an offender, too.  So we reported to our probation officer for quite a few weeks.  My youngest son Dan was an angel in high school.  Unbelievable.  I really appreciated that.   Gerry

Honey I'm on my own rollercoaster thank God I'm down to one teen before they out numbered me 3 to 1. Why do they always think the mom won't find out anything? You're like me know all mom.
Take care, Chrissie
