a very busy day

Today I am up and moving. I got up early because Nikki and two of her friends are going to go stuff Thanksgiving baskets.

So why am I complaining? My children could be doing a lot worse things then stuffing Thanksgiving baskets! They are not on the street, doing drugs, they have not been arrested and most of all they are willing to help. I need to be Thankful for this.

Last night I tried to have some alone time with Rusty. I say tried because we were just getting into it when Amber started banging on the door. When I told her to go away that we were having sex ......Amber reached her hand in the door and started turning the lights on and off. There is nothing like having sex with your teenager at the door.

To top it all off all Amber wanted to know if Sam could spend the night. Like we care! NOT. Did I mention that Amber and Sam broke up and got back together? Anyway Sam went to work with Rusty this morning and so he just spent the night. Whatever. Oh I should mention that they do not sleep in the same room. We will have no one practicing on making grand babies.

Right now I have a kitten sitting on my lap. I can remember just a month back when all three of the kittens were able to fit on my lap, now they can only sit here one at a time.

It is getting cold here!  Cold as in maybe down to the 50's. I know that is not cold to some people, but to me that is freezing!

I did finish my turban yesterday. There was only one.  problem. The directions only said how to sew the turban so I had to get on line and figure out how to tie the damn thing. maybe if I spoke one of the languages from the middle east.....well lets say it was interesting. I did get a picture of me wearing my turban.

I also got one of my Christmas craft projects done. I will have to take a picture of it for you.

Well I need to go get my stinky body into a shower and get moving. My day is waiting for me, so I better go greet it.

Eler Beth only recently figured out what it means when our bedroom door is closed and locked and in answer to her knock she is told, "Well be out in about an hour!"

I say your door needs a lock... and a good one! With Michael's back there's been no... "behind closed door" stuff for a long time and I'm climbing the walls. Don't wear yourself out... have a peaceful and pleasant holiday.

LOL that reminds me when John and I were traveling we thought the kids were all asleep they were little. We were in the bathroom trying to have sex well the lights were on the outside of the bathroom. Lauren got up and was switching the lights off and on and saying Mommy... Daddy... are you in there. That kinda killed the mood, but we were laughing our heads off. Kids.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
Take care, Chrissie

Time for me to come outta the shadows and say hi! sorry but I've been a lurker for sometime now. LOL. Hello, I'm Melissa...age 35 from Minnesota.  I really like your journal and your sense of humor. Too funny about your daughter being at the door while you were trying to "get friendly." LOL. My daughter just turned 13 on Monday...and I am pregnant with a baby girl due in April.  I can't believe i have a teen now- and hubby & I will soon be starting all over again...

I will be back.. oh yea and I love your quilts, they are just awesome!
