why do I even bother?

Will someone please tell me why I even bother to try to deal with Ryan's school?

Last week I got a nasty note from his teacher telling me that he is not writing the spelling words that he missed.

So I called the lady. I told her that I put a notebook in Ryans back pack and asked her to please let me know what words he missed.

Well, there is no notebook, and he took his pre test today. Ryan told me that he missed 9 words, but he does not know what they are!

Where in the hell is the notebook? I want to scream. We are talking about children that have major issues and the teachers expect them to remember? Ryan cannot even remember to wash his hair!

Why do I even bother. I am done. At least the school is free day care.

Austin skipped school on MOnday. I found out when I went to pick him up. *surprise* Your kid hasn't been here all day!!! I said, "does anyone remember the part of his IEP about communicating with the parent?" PUblic schools are not equipped to deal with special needs kids. Period. It's frustrating as hell... and I know that you're dealing with even bigger issues than me...
*hugs* please know you aren't alone!

So sorry....it's a shame that we as parents have to ask them to do what they are supposed to be doing - TEACHING.

I hope they come across the notebook...nothing more frustrating.  We had the teacher send a note home for Will saying he didn't have his library books...to turn in...guess where they were...in the LIBRARY!  Go figure!!
Hope all is found...hugs and love,
Joyce
