a turn for the better

I love those dresses! Women looked so classey back then.

Anyway, I was sitting at the table try to figure out a quilt square when Rusty walked up and dropped an envelope in front of me. To my shock it was a child support check! I am not sure how I am suppose to figure out to do with my $97 dollars. Lets see that is $97 for a year and two children. What does that equal..less then a penny a day? LOL But I am just glad that they finally got something out of him!

Then I had to get up early today and I walked into the hall way to hear rain beating down on our skylight. I was so happy to hear that sound. We so need the rain and I must say that I like the sound of it. Note to self...turn off the sprinklers.

So today is bill paying day. I sat down and paid the bills and to my shock we still have money left. Not a lot of money, but still.

I had to order two Santa gifts today. One of the Santa gifts was a Paddington Bear. Now this bear has been a thorn in my side for about a month. I have been looking on line and I saw a few Paddington's but they were not what I was looking for. I even looked at FAO Schwartz and Harrods. That right I was going to pay to have the damn thing shipped here. So Ifinally found the dang thing at Barnes and Noble. Why a book store has paddington is beyond me. Anyway, if I ordered $5 worth of stuff the the shipping was free. So I found something else to order. The I go to check out and I enter my coupon and the total went up! They gave me a coupon for 15% of paddington but then charged me shipping. So I took the coupon off and Paddington is on his way here!

The other Santa gift that I wanted to get was for Amber. I was going to pay for an add on to her Costa Rica trip. So I called the place and it was to late to add it on. On I typed out a note from Santa describing what she would be doing and I am just going to give her the money to pay for it while she is there. At the end I will post the letter I wrote.

On my must do list today is fix Rustys quilt. I am not sure what this man does to his quilt but he rips them. So last night he was complaining that it needed to be fixed, so I am going to do that today.

I am just so glad that I am finally having a good day!

We wore clothes like that in the 50's and there was lots and lots of ironing but we didn't know any better. That was just life then. Paula

Wasn't Paddington Bear a series of books at first?  That would explain why it's in bookstores.  Glad you got a CS check, even if it is just a drop in the bucket.  And I'm so glad you are feeling so much better.  Have fun mending the quilt!

My Momma use to dress like that everyday and I thought she was the classiest lady ever. Maybe that's why the rain came because you got that CS check. I hope they continue to make him pay those children deserve all the back pay that is owed them. I know how what you mean about money. This Christmas is very small for my kids only because I'm paying a divorce attorney and stuff everytime you turn around. Glad you found what you were looking for. Love the Santa letter and Kyan would be so jealous if she saw a howler monkey and a sloth. He loves those things.
Take care, Chrissie
