theres no sun today!

Yesterday I was sunning my body. I was just soaking up the sun and the warmth. Today it is darn right cold and it is raining! BRRR.

So I decided to make the most of the rain. I sewed the top to a quilted changing pad. The camera did not capture very well. It is actually purple and white. Next I am going to start on another quilt.

On Monday Rusty gave me my valentines gift. I got an R.Lee Ermy action figure, and it is the extra salty one, so there is a warning label on it. I know I am strange but I love my action figures. Nikki got me a candle holder and Amber made me a card. Life is good.

I talked to Rusty this morning and 29 palms got hit with a bad storm and they are even getting snow out there. The only thing I can say about all of this bad weather is that the water falls should be running this year.

We have beautiful waterfalls about 10 minutes from our house. In the summer the children and I will go out there and just hang out there all afternoon. However last year the falls were dry and I was really disappointed.

I think I am going to order pizza for dinner tonight. I am just not in the mood to cook.

So goes my boring life. It is time for me to get back to my sewing.

Hi,
My name is Lisa (36 years old), and I found your page through a new friend of mine called Betty (she is my new virtual walking buddy too, lol)
I have been reading a little bit of your blog and it's great!
My husband just retired from the military last March, after 20 years of service. we have been married nearly 19 years. (I got married to him when I was 16, it was love at first sight and he swept me of my feet, and still does to this day)
We live not tooo far from Twentynine Palms, on the other side of the desert, going toward Vegas....way WAY out in the middle of no where...blink and you'll miss me hehe (no joke, lol) I would like to put your journal link in my own journal so I can come by more often and read your daily entries if that is ok with you.
I thought I was the only "bored" housewife left in the world, but it is sooo nice to know there are others out there too. Look forward to reading more of your journal...

Your life is far from boring. At least your writing about it is not boring. We're having pizza and salad tonight too at our lodge meeting. All we have to take is our own salad dressing and thats no problem when I don't have to cook. Paula

That changing pad is so cute! You really know how to sew. I wish you'd post pics of some of your quilts for us to see.
What waterfalls are you talking about? I have an idea where you are and I can't recall where any falls are.
Hope you have a great evening.
