back away from the swarovski

Yesterday was a very interesting day. Yes I think interesting would be a good word. Oh where do I start.

Yesterday I needed to up and moving, I had so much to do. I hit the ground at 4 a.m.

Rusty and I are standing in kitchen hugging each other and talking about what we each had to do. I ran down my list and then I mentioned that I had to drive the car that was not registered, had no brake lights or tail lights, no horn and no gas.

Amber suggested that I just coast down hill and wave my middle finger as I coast through the intersection to the gas station. I thought it sounded like a good idea. I thought Rusty was going to have a heart attack.

My first was the dmv. That was very interesting. I got a one day temp pass to drive the car. O.K. to be technical  the pass says that I can drive it to shop to get the car smogged. Yea whatever.

I did a few more little things and then it was time to head down to base.

I get to base and the first stop is going to be McDonalds. I was starving. That place was packed! What marines have to eat? I thought they ran on motivation.

Then it was off to the commissary. One the way to the commissary Rusty called me and asked me what I was doing, and i told him I was driving. Duh.

So Rusty wanted to meet and have lunch. Cool. So I kept driving since now I have to drive all the way through base! I told Rusty that I needed to get off the phone because I was about to get pulled over.

Sure enough I got pulled over by an MP! Do you want to guess for what?! LOL Yep, everything that Rusty and I talked about. This poor MP. He was pulling a double and he looked so confused that I had a retired air force sticker and a dav dependent id card on a marine base. I think he was scared to ask.

Then Rusty said that he would go to the commissary with me. Rusty can find up front parking because he has handi cap plates. I had to park in the back 40! So I was walking up to meet Rusty and I yelled " hey sugar daddy wait for me!". Rusty just gave me the look of "I can't believe you said that.

Then I had to go to the home store and look at the Swarovski. The store use to have a graduation set that I wanted to get for Amber. They still had it! I was so excited. The exchange even said that they had another one in the back, so I thinking about going and buying it and putting it up for Nikki. I know my luck and I don't want that piece to be retired.

I love Swarovski more then anything. I have several pieces and even jewelry by them!, Anyway I got to the check out lane I am not kidding you EVERYONE asked to see what piece I had bought. Am I the only one who buys crystal? I thought I was being mobbed.

Then it was off to the shelter to pick up the kittens! They were so happy to see me, and I was so happy to see them.

Then I had to go get CJ. I must have seen five cops! I thought about just holding the ticket out the window, so that all the mp's would know that I had already been ticketed!

I was worn out when I got home.

Then Deb ( Nikki's other mom) calls me. There is a church yard sale tomorrow and then a tail gating party on Sunday! All of the money will go to the mission trips. So I was on the phone for almost 2 hours trying to get donations for the tail gating party. I did get a lot donated! I was kinda shocked at how nice the community was.

Now I am planning on doing helping them organize a spaghetti dinner. Why do I do this to myself. I will run myself ragged before this mission trip is paid for.

I was up early today because we did have a lot of stuff to take down to the church and then I had to run around and pick up some donations.

Tomorrow I still need to go get a few more donations and then I am going to fall into bed and crash.

I thought a stay at home mom stayed at home!

you are one busy lady; I loved Amber's driving advice; would never do it, but it brought a chuckle to me

so glad you got the support of the community for the tail gating party. I hope that and the church sale goes well

I think I'm going to use Amber's driving idea.  Have you ever heard about these crazy drivers in the Atlanta area?

I was exhausted reading about your day.  Dirk told me to come over here and read this as we both think you're hilarious.  I can just see myself hollering something like that across from the parking lot at him.  We both smiled because that is so like me.

After reading about your cold bath, I ended up with one last night.  Our hotwater heater did something weird. Man that's not fun!

Back a hundred years ago when I was a stay at home mom - I referred to myself as a "stay in the car mom". I think it's more accurate!
Have a great day!
*hugs*

I never fail to be shocked at how much you manage to get done in one day's time!  Sorry you got that ticket, though.  Glad the kittens are home, and so glad that you were able to get that piece for Nikki!  Your girls are so lucky to have you for a mom!  And someday they'll even admit it!

No, I guess a stay at home mom does not stay home.  She just has more time to kill herself doing other stuff that she has to neglect if she works!  Gerry

Wow! Looks like the stay at home mom needs to barricade herself inside, shut off the phones, lock the doors and disappear in a nice relaxing bath. (Hugs) Indigo
