last night was awesome

http://videos.nctimes.com/p/video?id=1895232

So, you have to check out the above link! It is so cool.

I grew up in the mid west where rain, wind, hail and tornadoes are part of lives.

So yesterday while I was on my home it started to rain. I was thinking to myself well at least my car is getting washed. My car is suppose to be white but it is actually more like a brown color from all of the dust.

Then I pull into the driveway and I open the car door and I hear this strange sound. Crap! That is my rear tire going flat. I called Rusty and asked him what I was suppose to do.

O.K. I know that sounds like a stupid question, but here is why I asked the question. Our drive way is on a slope. Rusty said that he did not want me to jack the car up because is does not want it to fall on me. So I was told to wait until he got home and that he would take of it for me.

I got into the house and the weather just kept getting worse. So I cooked up some soup and made sandwiches for dinner.

When I was growing up my mom always made soup on cold wet days, so I thought why not?

I ate some dinner, took a shower and made some tea. I settled in and turned on the weather channel. We had flash flooding, tornadoes, hail, high winds, and I was loving it! For once we finally had weather in California!

No one else was happy. I just laughed and said "If you hear a train coming run for the laundry room."

Today I am stuck at the house. My tire never got fixed, but that is o.k. I have a ton of stuff to bet done today.

Thank you to everyone who offered to adopt Amber. She has no idea so she will be shocked when the cards start to come in!

This morning Amber told me that she wants me to cause a scene when they call her name. I asked if I could run through the stadium naked. The answer to that question was no. Then Amber tells me that If I do that I will have to register as a sex offender! LOL Oh Lord please don't let anyone look over my fence.

Our garbage man comes today so I need to go gather up some trash and clean out a few more cabinets before he comes.

LOL; my brother streaked when he was in high school; so glad he didn't have to register as a sex offender; nowadays I'm sure he would have had to, LOL

I tried to make a lot of noise for my son when he graduated and everyone around us was helping, but he couldn't hear it cause we were so far up in the bleachers and they only had 4 seconds from when their names were called until the next name called (650 kids graduated in 90 minutes); but he graduated, that's all that mattered LOL

wasn't that weather wonderful!! I love a good storm :)

do send me your new address; I do want to send Amber something :)

I can remember years ago, being in the grocery store late one evening.  They always locked one of the front doors after a certain hour so as I'm standing in line and I heard these screams...in the store comes a guy..streaking..he runs along the front of the checkout lines thinking he can go out the far front door. WRONG !! It's been locked.  He was really embarrased as he ran back in front of all those people to the door where he had entered.  I would imagine that's the last time he streaked !    Can't wait to send Amber a card.  Linda in Washington state

I must be just as insane, I love it when the weather outside looks as if it's going mad. I do the same thing when it's cold and wet, soup and sandwiches. (Hugs) Indigo

Reminds me of when my grandson graduated the last person across the stage was a girl and she pulled her gown up and mooned the audience. There was a loud gasp in the building. Paula

I think Amber is right to request that you not give in to your worst impulses while making a fuss when her name is called.  Sometimes your conversations around home sound like a comedy I would enjoy.  I am glad you called your husband before trying to change that tire as I don't want anything to happen to you.  Who makes me chuckle more?   Gerry

You make me laugh.  Make a big fuss with your clothes on.  I always tell Dirk that there's enough violence in the world already regarding myself going naked, or as we say in the South, nekkid.  Naked is too polite a word when it's ugly. hehe
Referring to self here not you.

The caption was cute to that picture.  19th hole.  My goodness!
