Well it is late here but Kevin is home! Man it was nice to see him walk off the bus. I can't believe that he was gone for a year.
We all went up to march air reserve base to wave our flags and welcome the guys home. The we headed down to Camp Pendleton. It was at pendleton that we first got to see him.
It has just been an awesome day! Not only did Kevin come in, but one of our other friends called us from Iraq. Then on top of that I got to spend some time with Kevins mom and dad.
Ambers boyfriend Sam said that he felt very strange going out with us today. When I asked him why " he said because I am an outsider. I do not know Kevin, and I am not in the military, and I am not prior military. It is like I am watching this through a fish bowl" Sam was very glad that went with us. he said that it is something he will never forget.
So last night I called the mother of the girls that was here. We talked and I ended taking the girl back to her house. I do not get! She live a few blocks from us in a 2 million dollar home! He live in the poor section! Oh well I guess it is not for me to understand. I am just glad that she went back to her parents hope and I hope nothing but the best for this girl.
I am going to go get some sleep! OH if I did not comment in your journal. I am so sorry. I have just been busy today!
