up late

Well the chili is in the crock pot and the bread is in the oven. So I think I have a few minutes before something else happens.

I did not get to bed until about 1 a.m. and then I got up around 6 so I am a little cranky right now.

I was up so late because I was waiting for our friends to drop off their dog. I so wanted to sleep but instead I decided to get busy and get some work done. So about midnight last I cleaned both of the toilets, wash the outside of our front window and did laundry. Oh here is a tip for everyone. When you wash your windows in the middle of the night just spray the heck out of them and wipe them until you think they are clean. I was shocked that they actually looked good this morning.

I still need to go take a picture of these shoes that Amber had to have. However yesterday she came home carrying her shoes! She said by fourth period her feet were killing her! Hmmm...... that was an I told you so moment! But we all know that you can't tell teenagers anything because they already know everything.

Do you wanna hear something freaky? Remember when we bought food for the boy scout troop? Well it turns out that Sam (Ambers boyfriend) was one of the boy scouts! Sam said that when they took the food to the people he was shock how happy they were just to have food. He said the people they helped did even have a tree, much less food. I am glad that Amber is dating someone who can see past himself, and help others.

I hope that Rusty is having a good day at work. This morning we were both snapping at each other. I got to bed late and he did not sleep good, so we were both cranky. Maybe having his favorite for dinner will cheer him up.

I am on the hunt for a really easy homemade baked mac and cheese dish. If you have one will you please send it to me or if you find one will you send me the link. I love baked mac and cheese, but I would like to try to make it.

The bread is smelling good so I better go check on it.

Note to self: after bread is done go take a nap so that you won't be grouchy when the children come home.

Okay, now I am craving chili and bread...and probably by tomorrow I will want mac and cheese.  I used to make it from scratch...but the family was just as satisfied with Stoffers...Mac and Cheese.  Have a great even!

Man do I know how you feel. I too stayed up late. I love Law and Order and Cold Case and they were on most of the night.  I put my son to sleep and watced TV til 2 am and I had to make myself go to sleep then. Man those shows are addictive. I woke up this morning with a head ache(from lack of sleep). Thought I would lay back down after I got my son on the school bus. I layed down and just when I was getting asleep good, the phone rings. Mom wanted me to ride with her to get her glasses fixed she had broke. so of course I did.  It turned out to be a nice day.  Girl times!!  Good times.  Well thanks for stopping by my journal.  come back anytime.  Thanks Kat http://journals.aol.com/xrottslady/katz-journal

Thanks for the tip.  The next time I'm cleaning my windows in the middle of the night I'll be sure to remember that!  If you get a good baked mac and cheese recipe from anyone, please share it with me -- I'd love one!
